We had a fantastic morning yesterday for Team Limerick Clean Up 2026 in Kennedy Park with Cllr Sarah Kiely - Limerick City East

Well done to everyone who took part in such a great initiative 👏

It was a dramatic afternoon in the FAI Amateur Cup last Saturday as we travelled away to face a strong Holycross side.

The home side started strong and went 2–0 ahead, but we responded just before the break when Hayleigh Power pulled one back to make it 2–1 at half-time and give us momentum going into the second half.

We continued to push after the restart and were rewarded when SallyAnn O'Dwyer found the equaliser to make it 2–2, sending the game into extra time.

Holycross regained the lead early in extra time to make it 3–2, but once again we showed great resilience. SallyAnn struck for her second of the game to level the match at 3–3 before super-sub Rebecca Buston came off the bench to score the winner just before the break in extra time.

A disciplined performance in the second half of extra time saw us manage the game well and hold on for a fantastic win.
