This is a Bord na nÓG page for Shannon Gaels football teams- covering the parishes of Glin, Ballyha
A disappointing result for our U13's in Rathkeale this morning. They fought a hard fight against a better team on the day. Some great scores were made by Kealan Lonergan, Darragh Mullane and Gavin Thompson. Killian Sheahan performed great in goals. The whole team kept battling until the final whistle.
Such an achievement to get to a county final at this age. Ye should all be so proud💪
A special thanks to Val Mullane and all the coaches who worked tirelessly with this group of players.
Chin up guys and keep similar achievements in sight for next season.
Please note U13 county final time change for tomorrow..
match now on in Rathkeale

Our 2 U11's teams played Fr Caseys tonight in tough conditions for football, but football they played. Both teams played some outstanding football and it was a joy to watch. There was plenty of high fielding lovely passing and some excellent scores taken. Unfortunately we came up short on both games to 2 very strong teams. Our teams can be very proud of there performances. Our backs were tigerish in their tackling. Midfielders covered every blade of grass our forwards were slick in attack and our goalkeepers were very solid and I must mention Liam Downes who pulled off 3 or 4 top saves. But again well done to all the players. Onwards and upwards💪
