We would like to extend a huge thank you to all 40 clubs who travelled from all parts of the country to participate in the Gerry Ryan Memorial Gala this past weekend. It was fantastic to witness some amazing swimming and a huge well done to all 700+ swimmers participating.

At the end of the gala we presented the perpetual Gerry Ryan team trophy to the team whose swimmers received the most points over the weekend; Pictured receiving the trophy from LSC Chairperson Nigel Laffan, is head coach with Dolphin Mick McCormack. Well done to all the Dolphin swimmers! 👏🏻 👏🏻

Also pictured are the Limerick swimmers that achieved the highest points during the gala, receiving the Gerry Ryan Perpetual trophy. Pictured are swimmers Kate, Dylan & Anton (it was a draw for 1st place from the male swimmers) with LSC chairperson Nigel Laffan. Congratulations to these three LSC swimmers! 👏🏻🏆

And well done to all swimmers that took part in the Gerry Ryan gala over the weekend, we hope everyone enjoyed it! We will see you at the next one!

Thank you to everyone that made the Gerry Ryan Memorial Gala last weekend a great success, in what is Limerick Swimming Club’s 40th year anniversary. Without all the volunteers, the officials, the sponsors, & the host facility UL Sport Arena , this gala could not and would not have run so well.
On Sunday we were delighted to have Gerry Ryan’s wife Doris & two daughters Carol & Liz in attendance, to witness some of the racing & we honoured Gerry by making a small presentation to them on behalf of the club. We would like to thank them for their continued support.
