Kwan Martial Arts Academy

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all enjoying the last stretch of summer. Classes will resume from Tuesday, September 1st, and I'm looking forward to getting everyone back on the mats.

Before invoices go out, please let me know if there are any changes to the days your child will be attending. Any updates now will help me adjust the schedule and make sure everything is correct for the new term.

For those on the waitlist, trial classes will begin towards the middle of sept and I will be in touch soon to confirm your booking!

As we head into summer break—slightly earlier than usual this year—I’d like to thank all our students for a great year.
Your hard work, consistency, and attitude have led to real progress, both on and off the mats. It’s been great to see your skills, confidence, and discipline continue to grow.
A sincere thank you as well to all the parents for your continued support throughout the year—it makes a real difference.

On a personal note, the early arrival of my daughter, just in time for Father’s Day, made this year all the more memorable.

Congratulations to everyone who graded today.
It was great to see such a strong standard across the floor, with students supporting one another and showing the focus, effort, and respect that define our academy.
Grading days like this reflect not just individual progress, but the strength of the Kwan Martial Arts community as a whole. From beginners through to senior students, everyone contributed to a positive and disciplined atmosphere.
A sincere thank you to the Technical Board for their time, expertise, and for upholding the standards that guide our students’ development.
Well done to all who took part—keep building on this progress.

Introducing the Kwan Martial Arts Academy Handbook!!

This booklet covers everything—from the history and traditions of Tang Soo Do to belt progression, grading requirements and glossary of terms!

I have been working on this handbook for a number of years and is a personal goal of mine to be able to now present this valuable resource possible for students.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the creation of this handbook!

This will be made available for students on the 7th June at the scheduled Grading.
