Limerick and Thomond Park will host some of the biggest names in club and provincial rugby from both
The 12 teams competing in the first ever Limerick World Club 7s Festival are: Saracens, Stade Francais, Fiji Daveta, New South Wales Waratahs, Moscow, Auckland, New York, San Francisco, Vancouver Bears, South Africa's Blue Bulls and Western Province, and Munster Rugby. The dates for this year's tournament are:
Saturday 9 August 2014, matches from 11.30 - 18.45 (stadium open from 10.30)
Sunday 10 August 2014, matches from 11.30 - 17.30 (stadium open from 10.30)

Ulster star David McGuigan says he was delighted with his side's performance at the Limerick World Club Se7ens despite losing out in Shield match to Irish rivals Leinster.

So, the final finished 19-17 to Daveta over Samurai and the Fijians win the Limerick 7s title for the second year running. But the party isn't over and you can join us at one of our Street Parties this evening.
Sterling effort from Samurai 7s but well-deserved triumph for Daveta - the outstanding team this weekend. They'll be dancing on the streets of Suva I'm sure.
Samurai 7s produce a roaring second-half comeback, Aderito Assuncao scoring two tries, but it falls just short as Daveta retain their title with a 19-7 victory.
Daveta captain Sakiusa Gavidi and Emori Waqa have both touched down for first-half tries to give the reigning champs a 12-0 lead over Samurai 7s at the break in the Limerick 7s final.
