STEP UP, SPEAK OUT & STAND STRONG FOR DANCE

STEP UP for DANCE is a new campaign calling for state recognition and funding for the dance community.

This movement is for dancers, teachers, organisers, group leaders, parents, and supporters, for everyone who believes dance matters.

We are non-political, independent, and not affiliated with any particular dance organisation. This is a people-led movement bringing the dance community together to ensure it is seen, valued, and properly supported.

In time, those who unite under STEP UP for DANCE will form an umbrella group that speaks with one strong, united voice. Together, we want to show the government how organised our community can be, the immense value dance brings to society, and that our community, its leaders, and its organisations are responsible and worthy of recognition and funding.

Dance is not just a sport or an art form - it builds confidence, wellness, discipline, community, culture, and inclusion. It changes lives. It strengthens communities. And it deserves recognition, support, and investment.
