A huge thank you to Gerard from Ageless Performance for joining us on Sunday and kicking off our Walking Buddies community walk with such a brilliant warm-up and fitness demonstration.

Gerard brought great energy, encouragement and plenty of laughs, and it was lovely to see so many of our walkers getting involved. His tips and advice were enjoyed by everyone and helped set the tone for a fantastic afternoon together.

We’re delighted to welcome Gerard Kennedy from Gerard Kennedy to our next Regatta × Walking Buddies Limerick Community Walk!

A huge thank you to Gerard for getting involved and giving his time to our community.

Gerard is a Limerick-based fitness coach and founder of Ageless Performance Coaching. He has been teaching fitness classes for around four years and is a fully qualified Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer, specialising in strength and endurance training and working with men and women of all fitness levels.

Gerard will kick off the afternoon with a warm-up before our walk and will then join us in Vartry Fields for a FREE 10–15 minute fitness taster session. A brilliant opportunity to meet Gerard, experience some of his training and find out more about what Ageless Performance Coaching has to offer.

🏃‍♀️ CALLING LOCAL FITNESS COACHES! 🏃‍♂️

We’re looking for a local fitness coach who’d love to get involved in our next Walking Buddies Limerick x Regatta Great Outdoors Community Walk on Sunday, 30 August! 💚

We’d love someone to:

💪 Lead a short, fun warm-up at 12 noon before we set off from the Crescent Shopping Centre
🔥 Meet us at Vartry Fields around 1:15pm to give our walkers a 10–15 minute taster fitness class

We’re expecting approximately 30–40 walkers on the day, with all ages and fitness levels welcome.

And we’ll make sure you get plenty from the collaboration too! 🙌

📱 Lots of social media promotion for you and your business
📲 Promotion to our 60+ Walking Buddies WhatsApp members, including information about you and your classes
☕ Complimentary tea & coffee afterwards in Collins Bar

We’re delighted to be teaming up once again with Regatta Ireland for our next Walking Buddies Limerick Community Walk — open to everyone who is comfortable walking approximately 6–7km at a relaxed group pace.

Join us for a friendly, social, guided walk around Raheen and Dooradoyle, starting and finishing at Regatta Great Outdoors in the Crescent Shopping Centre.

📍 Meeting Point: Regatta Great Outdoors, Crescent Shopping Centre, Dooradoyle Road, Unit 15A, Limerick, V94 F611
🚶‍♀️ Distance: Approx. 6–7km
⏳ Duration: Around 2 hours, including a refreshment stop at Collins Bar Dooradoyle
🥾 Difficulty: Easy to moderate

Our route will take us from Regatta through a lovely local loop around Raheen and Dooradoyle, including Garryowen Rugby Club, Regional United FC, Greenview Close, Ballycummin and Vartry Fields, before stopping at Collins Bar, Dooradoyle for complimentary tea or coffee, kindly supported by Regatta.

A huge thank you to Regatta Great Outdoors for continuing to support local community walking and helping us bring people together outdoors, and to Collins Bar for giving everyone a lovely place to stop, chat and enjoy a cuppa along the way ☕💛
