Our Greenkeeping Team works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the course is in perfect condition for every round of golf.
Beginning at first light, often as early as 6 a.m., the team has a crucial couple of hours before the first tee time to prepare the course. Their objective is to work discreetly, ensuring that golfers enjoy uninterrupted play on meticulously maintained greens. With acres of land to maintain – enough to fit two golf courses – it is no small task. But through teamwork, precision, and dedication, they ensure the course is ready to welcome our guests.

An 18-hole Championship Course. The exquisite parkland of the Manor demesne has been preserved with the challenging course set amid magnificent mature trees and incorporating many aquatic features including a 14 acre lake anchoring the front nine holes and The River Maigue which meanders through the entire golf course. As we tee off into the 2024 golf season, we are filled with gratitude for our team's unwavering dedication to creating an unparalleled experience.
Today, as we reopen the golf course following the winter season, we give credit to our greenkeeping team. Led by Golf Course Superintendent Alan MacDonnell, who this month celebrates 25 years working on our golf course, our greenkeepers are consistently chasing perfection. Here, we travel back to 3.45am on July 4th, 2022, the first day of the JP McManus Pro-Am, and reiterate “today is your day, you make this place.”
