And that's a wrap. We have completed our first term. Well done to all our swimmers. You have all worked so hard. Especially our beginners. Great to see you all growing with confidence. I almost have the timetable finsihed. My plan this evening is to complete and send out.
One swimmers who has been working hard for me is our Swimmer of the Term. When he started with me he was quiet and nervous. One thing is for sure he is a great listener and tries his very best. This has paid off for him as each week he has grown in confidence. This term especially he has worked hard on his frontcrawl breathing and is really getting the hang of it. I'm delighted with how much he's come on. So well done Oisin our Swimmer of the Term, well deserved.

We've only one day left of the first term now. Wow where has the time gone. I want to mention our beginner class today. They were so good tonight. Seeing how much they have come on in the past 7 weeks is fantastic. Watching them all jump in unaided at the end of class was super. Well done Willow, Amee, Max and Tessa.
Another Swimmer who needs a special mention has really stood out this term. She always lacked confidence in her ability. No matter how much I told her she was well able and a good Swimmer she never believed it. She always tries though. This term I started her in lane swimming. I was delighted to see it didn't phase her. Each week her stamina grew along with her confidence. She has kept up with the class who have been lane swimming a while and much older than her. I've enjoyed watching her each week shine. So well done Amber on being our Swimmer of the Term.

What a miserable evening but at least we took shelter in the pool. Great to see another big turn out. The last day of term is always fun as we run through all our strokes and all our skills. One swimmer in particular has worked extremely hard all term on developing her swimming. She brings such fun, joy and giggles to lessons each week and is a pleasure to teach. I love seeing her come, knowing she'll be telling me her news on her first go, whilst she's blowing her bubbles 😅. She has worked extremely hard on her unilateral frontcrawl breathing this term and is 90% of the way there. Her backstroke has become very strong also. More importantly she has grown so much in confidence and I love seeing her progression week in week out. Well done Mae on your hard work and you deserve your title Swimmer of the Term.

A great turn out today to showcase all our skills from this term. Two swimmers actually changed my mind on their ability so I need to make another change to my Timetable. Thank you everyone for your patience, I will try my best to complete in the next day or so.
Today's Swimmer of the Term has stood out to me all term. She has really grown in strength, technique and confidence. I see a huge improvement in all her strokes. She swims now with such ease and has really become a lovely strong swimmer. I'm delighted to say she's moving up a level next term also. Well done Ellie, our Swimmer of the Term. Very well deserved.

This week we started our last week of Term 1. It's been such a fast term but we have achieved a lot. There have been lots of progression across all our swimmers. Our beginners have grown in confidence and started learning strokes last week. We've had many swim their first length, and some have mastered unilateral breathing.
One swimmer who has stood out has had a very strong term. Each week he has worked very hard impressing me with his skills. He has also been one of our swimmers to swim his first of many lengths. I see huge improvements in all of his strokes. To make it even more special he told me it's his birthday on Friday. So well done to Luke our Swimmer of the Term and a big Happy Birthday.

Well it's the last day of Week 1. What a lovely week we have had. So lovely welcoming back so many of our swimmers. Either I am shrinking or everyone has shot up over the summer months. So many jave moved up a level since June. We have swimmers now lane swimming for the first time, swimmers not needed me in the pool anymore. We also have so many new beginner swimmers. Last night our first beginner class took place, siblings of swimmers I already teach. It was a special class as I've seen them watching from the sidelines and now they finally get to start their swim journey. Finally welcome to all are new swimmers joining Aqua Elite this season. Your all very welcome and I hope you enjoy your time with us. Back in the pool today and lots more beginners starting off this afternoon. It's going to be a busy day. Let's have lots of fun. Welcome back everyone.

Yes yes yes.... We are back Monday 7th September. I hope everyone is as excited as me. Looking forward to welcoming our new families and beginners. Very sad news. Stephen always supported Aqua Elite and showed me nothing but support and kindness. One of life's true Gentlemen. RIP Stephen, you will be truly missed.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Stephen O’Connor.

Stephen was so much more than our General Manager. He was the heart of our team, a true leader, a mentor, and a friend to so many. His warmth, kindness, and infectious sense of humour made everyone feel welcome, whether they were a guest walking through our doors or a colleague working alongside him.

He was deeply respected, immensely admired, and genuinely loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Stephen led with compassion, integrity, and unwavering dedication, always putting people first and inspiring those around him to be their very best.

Stephen was also the valued Chair of the Board for the Shannon Region Conference & Sports Bureau, the incoming President of Limerick Central Rotary and has previously served as Chair of the Irish Hotels Federation Shannon Branch, reflecting his dedication to the continued growth and success of the tourism and hospitality sector in our region.

The impact he had on our hotel, our team, and our guests is impossible to put into words. He leaves behind not only an incredible professional legacy but also countless memories, friendships, and moments that we will treasure forever.

Stephen will be profoundly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Our thoughts, love, and deepest condolences are with his wife Eveanna, his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you, Stephen, for your leadership, your friendship, your kindness, and everything you gave to us. We were truly lucky to know you.

Rest peacefully Stephen - You will never be forgotten. ❤️
