County Premier Junior A Hurling Championship Group 2 Round 3
Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-20 St. Patricks 0-19
This was our first win of the championship this games was played down in Kildimo, in very wet conditions, on last Thursday night, this was a dog fight of match, the teams we level at the break 9 points each and then in the second half we outscored them by 0-11 to 0-10. The points on the night came from: Keith Lacey (nine points, seven f), Damien Burke (three points), Rory O’Dell (three points), James Molyneaux (two points), Brian Ahern (a point), Adam O’Kelly (a point), John Lenihan (0-1). The table reads as follows the third round: Caherline 6 points (+25), Crecora/ Mainster 4 points (+17), Doon 4 points (+11), Kilteely/ Dromkeen 2 points (-8), Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2 points (-12), St. Patricks no points (-33). Keelan Stephenson of St. Patrick’s and Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/Broadford exchanged points and then Gearóid Hegarty of St. Patricks scored two pointed to two leave two points between the sides. Adam O’Kelly of Dromcollogher/Broadford and Bradley Moran of St. Patrick’s exchanged points to leave two points between the sides and then Sean Mortell of St. Patrick’s and James Molyneaux of Dromcollogher/Broadford to leave two points between the sides. This game was a thriller played in very fine conditions in Rhebogue, on last Monday night. At the break St. Patrick’s lead by 3-7 to 2-4 with our two goals both coming from Micheál O’Kelly and then in the second half we outscored St. Patrick’s by 2-6 to 1-4 with our two goals coming from Tieran O’Flynn and Ben Lenihan. The table after five rounds read as follows: St. Patrick’s 6 points (+12), Mungret/ St. Paul’s 4 points (+7), Fr. Casey’s 4 points (+13), Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2 points (-7), Shannon Gaels no points (-25).
