You can now apply to become an Aerowaves artist with the opportunity to have your work presented at the Spring Forward festival from 14-17 April 2027 in Limerick (IE), and also by many of our Aerowaves partners around Europe.

๐Ÿ”ด managing and promoting our building, including four dedicated artistsโ€™ workspaces

Our inclusive dance summer camps are back!

Children aged 5โ€“14 with additional needs or disabilities can join us for a set of inclusive and fun dance classes with our team of friendly and experienced dance artists.

We have had a wonderful time at in Guimarรฃes, Portugal

Thank you to the entire Aerowaves team, to hosts Centro Cultural Vila Flor and collaborators O Espaรงo Do Tempo A Oficina โ€ข Guimarรฃes, to all festival artists, technical team, staff, ushers, volunteers, and everyone who made this festival so engaging, so enjoyable, so smoothโ€ฆ truly stellar work

A special mention also to the team at Guimarรฃes 26 - Capital Verde Europeia for all the good work that you do and to Fรกilte Ireland for supporting our teamโ€™s research trip.

Dance Limerick is delighted to announce the five participants who will take part in the 16th edition of

Aine Kidney
Alison O'Shea
Mayara Pessanha
Jyoti Soni
Martha Tribe

The five dancers will participate in a performance project with choreographer Mufutau Yusuf, developing new work to be presented at different locations nationally, including Limerick and Dublin.

Curated by Director of Dance Limerick Mary Wycherley and delivered under the guidance of Rehearsal Director, Lucia Kickham Dance Artist, the programme features a host of guest teachers and artists and is focused on developing artists as performers while recognising the creativity necessary in the performerโ€™s work.

This year, the Step Up dancers will once again enjoy a placement with Luail during the autumn, giving them the chance to delve deeper into the companyโ€™s work, approaches to performance, choreography and creative process.

We look forward to welcoming Magdalena Hylak to Dance Limerick for the next two weeks

Our 2026 Compass Associate Artist has recently been working with students from the MA in Dance Performance programme in the University of Limerick, focusing on different approaches to working with soundโ€”an element central to Magdalena Hylak__Dance 's own artistic practice. She will continue developing this work in during the two weeks, ahead of sharing of work-in-progress as part of the Dublin Dance Festival 2026 with associate composer Lionel Kasparian and an international cast of dancers including Isabella Oberlander, Siobhรกn Nรญ Dhuinnรญn and Ashley Chen.

The fully developed piece will be shown at Dance Limerick this September.

We're delighted to welcome Hutchinson | Kemp to Dance Limerick on 23 May for our Creative Lab Day: Junctions, Dance & the Digital Arts.

Hutchinson | Kemp is the collaborative practice of Sophie Hutchinson and Billy Kemp. First working together as part of Open Futures 2024, their work explores movement, space, and mediation through an approach grounded in expanded time, working across dance, moving image, sound, and installation.

Hutchinson | Kemp will share a presentation of their work followed by a Q&A as part of the event.
