What has popcorn got to do with coaching kids? Children develop at different rates in sport. Our job is to try to provide the conditions that allow ALL children the opportunity to pop.

We call this game fussball based off of that classic table football game. Great tag game to use for any age group. Encourages lateral sidestep and evasion skills. Very easy to incorporate solo in football. Try it out and let us know how it goes

What are our thoughts on this type of hurling exercise? Would it incorrect to say it would be one of the most popular hurling drills used by coaches?

Here is a session we ran recently for u13, u15 and U17s girls. Pitch area was 50m x 90m. Less than half of the pitch. If we are well organised here we can run this session for up to 50 players. Can work as well for boys. We had a warm up, two skill stations and a mini tournament afterwards to work on the skills. The entire session was set up beforehand so we never had to move a cone once we started. Warm up was in one of the skill stations and we moved the goals to create two mini pitches after the skill stations were finished. We rewarded skills we worked on in the stations in the games. Kicking station was the most points wins with levels. All games are on the site. Let us know if you've any questions. .

Here is a version of a game model for slow attacks we devised a while back. Pitch is split i to the zones where we might use these principles most often. We've also colour cided them to highlight in the ball, near the ball and away from the ball. Something which we neglect to coach at times. Let us knkw what you think. This is our language so feel free to adapt and use terminology you prefer.
