North Kerry Cricket Club has the honor of two awards at the recent Munster Cricket Union Awards night. Two players received awards Club captain Garry Pickett was awarded the newly formed ‘Spirit of Cricket’ award for his decision not to run out a batsman twice in one game. The other award was for Jonathan Boulding who received the ‘Best Batsman at Division 3’. To receive these awards is a big achievement and shows huge positives for the club going forward into the 2019 season.

Thank you to all the lads who represented the club this year. It was a hard season. We lost senior players to injury and had to compete with a very small squad of players but in every game all the lads done their best and never let the team down. Big credit to younger players Johnathon and michael who played every game and both finished at the top of the league rankings. Johnathon (1st) and Michael (5th) Alan thanks to the lads who stepped in and helped us out Cathal. Richie. Ian. Fintan. Jerry. Hopefully next season we will have a bigger squad and senior players back from injury. Once again thank you to all the lads. 🏏

Great win for north Kerry against Waterford at the weekend. North Kerry won the toss and put Waterford into bat good bowling by all the bowlers backed up by excellent fielding restricted them to 137 all out after 35 overs. 3 wickets for Ian. 2 for Richie. 2 for Michael. 1 for Garry. In reply north Kerry got home after just 14 overs big hitting by Johnathon 75 and Ian 35 won the game. A great team performance by all the players and a great way to finish our league campaign
