Listowel Racecourse was one of nine award winners at the 2026 Irish Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards (ITIEA) held at the Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge last night.
Listowel Racecourse Company Chairman Maurice Carroll and Stable Yard Manager Paddy Madden accepted the prestigious Racecourse Award.
Chosen by the Irish Stable Staff Association, this accolade recognises the racecourseโs exceptional commitment to providing the best possible facilities and accommodations for stable staff.
Based on a quality programme evaluation, all racecourses across Ireland were assessed on various criteria, including the standard of facilities, amenities, and the overall environment provided for the industryโs dedicated workforce.
As we strive to offer the best raceday experience for all here at Listowel, it gives us immense pride to have been recognised by the Irish Stable Staff Association.

Sun Shines on Sensational Style at Ladies Day at Listowel Races 'Style Stakes Sunday', sponsored by O'Flynn's Centra, Listowel.
It was a family affair in the style stakes at Listowel Races on Sunday, as regular racegoers and sisters Jordana Lambadarios (right) and Natasha OโConnor (left) from Templeglantine, Co. Limerick, were among the winners. Jordana was crowned Best Dressed Lady, while Natasha shared the runner-up title with Mรกirรฉad Hayes from Ballylanders, Co. Limerick. Katelyn Cummins.
Jordana impressed in a stylish separates ensemble, featuring a top sourced on Vinted, a fitted Zara skirt and a stunning headpiece by Marc Millinery. Natasha also wore a Marc Millinery headpiece, paired with a striking bodycon dress from Kimono Boutique. Joint runner-up Mรกirรฉad Hayes opted for an elegant and summery Celia B dress from Kimono Boutique.
A total prize fund of โฌ1,000 was on offer, with Jordana receiving a โฌ500 cash prize, flower, and a beauty and wellness package worth โฌ200 from Glowell, Listowel. All 10 finalists received a luxury Kevin Murphy hair gift set, generously sponsored by National Beauty, a Sheisdo skincare set from McGuire's Pharmacy, and a pair of exclusively designed earrings by Mary Mulhall of Inish Designs.
