80th Cork - Little Island/Glounthaune Scout Group

We introduced our Beavers to Scouting, & the first planning we did as a group, was to list what activities the Beavers would like to do for the coming year.
They then came up with a list of rules for our meetings & activities.
They had great fun with our games & we rounded off our meeting with “the quiet game”
Our lodge of the week will get to pick our opening game next week, and Choppers & Chippers went home with our Beavers of the week.
Roll on next week when we start planning our first hike of the year 👏

Off we go on another year of scouting fun with our Beavers. Chippers & Choppers were delighted to welcome back our 2nd year Beavers, & to say hello to our new Beavers

Venture Sword 2026 🥈

Huge Congratulations to four of our Ventures who competed as a Crew at the National Venture Sword competition with two ventures from 23rd Midleton Scouts
They achieved gold standard, won the programme bases and came an incredible 2nd place overall!
A fantastic achievement a big thanks to everyone who was involved! 🎉

Our final few days on camp! Scouts tackled Go Quest, went hammocking in the woods and completed the Larch Hill picture challenge. They also had a chance to meet other scout groups from across europe! On Sunday we packed up camp before getting the train back to Cork

Day 5 & 6: Scouts had great fun grass sledding before taking on the challenges at Zipit in Tibradden Wood. We also helped to complete a community service project at Larch Hill and celebrated Andreas' birthday! 🥳🎂
