Doing what we love ... great to be back providing safety training.

Delighted to be selected as Fingal Ciunty Councils cycling training partner for their ‘Gearing up for Training’ initiative. Having spent 3 enjoyable days this week working with age grade teams at St Finian’s GAA in Swords, there has already been an increase in numbers travelling to training by bike.

More cycling, more often, more safely.

A special thank you to all the participants for the enthusiasm.

We are delighted to be working with Fingal County Council, delivering their "Gearing Up for Training" initiative. St Finian's GAA Club have been chosen to receive delivery of this cycle training program with a view to encouraging more safe cycle journeys to training.

Looking forward to working with a number of their age-grade teams over the coming week.

More cycling, more safely, more often. 🚴‍ 🚴🚴

Finians are delighted to be chosen as a pilot club for Fingal County Council 'Cycle Right' training course.

The training will be delivered at the club by Irish Centre for Cycling and will be held between 4th and 7th of August for nearly 100 players from U11, U12 and U13 teams.

We also hope to have bike stands installed by Fingal County Council in the coming weeks to encourage players and parents to cycle to the clubhouse and the club is working with the council to improve the safety of the roads in and around the club.

The cycling initiative is part of a wider 'Sustainable Finians' plan to make the club more environmentally friendly by introducing waste, water, energy transport and biodiversity initiatives . 👍🌎

In this together ... Happy Easter at Home!

Cycling Ireland is asking members of the cycling community to strictly comply with the public health guidelines in place within your locality.

While the vast majority are adhering to the guidelines, Cycling Ireland has been notified by the Department of Health and An Garda Síochána of a small number of cyclists who have ignored exercise restrictions.

Within the Republic of Ireland, the guidelines clearly state that you may exercise within 2km from home only. Those flouting the restrictions may face penalties of up to €2,500 in fines and up to six months in prison.
