Last week, Malahide Yacht Club celebrated its 67th AGM, marking a change of helm with the election of a new Committee and a positive reflection on a hugely successful year at MYC.
Well done and thank you to Margaret Fay for her leadership over the past two years as Club Commodore.
The AGM reflected on a strong year for the club, with participation and membership continuing to grow, and MYC talent and activity on the water as impressive as ever — trailblazing in creating opportunities and access to sailing with our friends and neighbours Sutton Dinghy Club, Howth Yacht Club, Skerries Sailing Club, Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club, Rush Sailing Club, Swords Sailing & Boating Club - swordssailing.ie, Malahide Sea Scouts.
As a proud partner within the wider sailing community, MYC continues to support and contribute to strong activity across local clubs and classes, while serving as a welcoming venue for events and sailing activity.

Best wishes to our new Flag Officers as they take the helm for the year ahead;
Commodore Niall Gallagher
Vice Commodore Noel Davidson
Rear Commodore Russell Camier
We were also delighted to recognise outstanding club contribution, in front of the membership, through our annual awards:
🏆 Club Person of the Year – Colum McCaffrey
For his peerless energy and leadership in improving pathways and supporting access to sailing for our members.
🏆 Commodore’s Cup – David Greene
For consistently representing MYC at high-profile events and a class win aboard White Pearl at Calves Week.
🏆 Volunteer of the Year – John Anglim
A long-serving volunteer whose behind-the-scenes contribution is invaluable.
We also extend sincere thanks to Paul Quinn and Diarmaid O'Murchu as they retire from the Committee, for their time, commitment and service to MYC.
A huge thank you to our members, volunteers and friends — fair winds for the year ahead ⛵
