You’re not stuck because you’re lazy.

You’re stuck because the plan you’ve been trying to follow doesn’t fit your life.

If every attempt relies on perfect weeks, endless motivation and having loads of spare time, it’s going to fall apart the moment work gets busy or family life takes over.

That isn’t failure. It’s a sign that the plan needs to change.

You don’t need to train six days a week, overhaul your entire diet or wait for another Monday. You need a realistic starting point, a little structure and support from people who understand where you’re at.

Start smaller than you think you should. Keep showing up. Let consistency do the heavy lifting 💪

If you’re ready to stop starting over, send us a message with the word **START** and we’ll help you take the first step 💜

Rachel didn’t like gyms.

She felt uncomfortable, unsure of what to do and believed the gym simply wasn’t for her.

But she took that first step anyway 💜

With the right support, a welcoming environment and coaches who met her where she was, Rachel gradually built her confidence—and changed how she felt about exercise.

Now, the gym is no longer somewhere she wants to avoid. It’s a place where she feels comfortable, capable and proud of what she can do 💪

Rachel’s story is a reminder that you don’t need to feel confident before you begin. Sometimes confidence is simply the result of showing up, one session at a time.

If Rachel’s story sounds familiar, send us a message. We’ll help make that first step feel a little less daunting.

You’re not unmotivated… you’re just tired 😴

There’s a big difference.

When you’re juggling work, family, stress and a never-ending to-do list, it’s hardly surprising that exercise sometimes feels like another chore.

That doesn’t mean you’re lazy or lacking discipline. It might simply mean your battery is running low 🔋

On those days, don’t aim for the perfect workout. Lower the bar and keep the habit alive.

A short walk.
Ten minutes of movement.
An early night.
A proper meal.
Or even a well-earned rest day.

Progress isn’t always about pushing harder. Sometimes it’s about recognising what your body needs and responding to it.

Beating yourself up won’t give you more energy. Looking after yourself might 💜

Save this for the next day you feel like you’re “just not motivated.”

One of the biggest mistakes beginners make is thinking they need to get fitter before joining a gym.

You don’t.

You don’t need to know every exercise.

You don’t need to keep up with anyone else.

And you definitely don’t need to walk through the door feeling confident.

That’s what coaching is for.

Your first few weeks are simply about showing up, learning and building a little confidence each time.

Then something starts to change.

Exercises feel more familiar. You get a little stronger. You stop worrying about what everyone else is doing. And training gradually becomes something you just… do.

Don’t wait until you feel ready.

Start where you are. We’ll help with the rest. 💚

🏋️‍♂️ What’s the best type of training once you’re over 40?

If I had to pick just one, it would be resistance training.

Why?

Because as we get older, maintaining muscle and strength becomes increasingly important—not just for how we look, but for how well we live.

Regular resistance training can help you:

💪 Maintain and build muscle
🦴 Support stronger bones
⚡ Maintain strength and physical function
📈 Improve metabolic health
⚖️ Support balance and independence
🏃 Keep doing the activities you enjoy

And you don’t need to spend six days a week in the gym.

For most people, 2–3 well-planned resistance training sessions each week can be a fantastic foundation.

Focus on the basics.

Squat.
Push.
Pull.
Hinge.
Carry.

Then gradually increase what you’re capable of doing.

Of course, cardiovascular fitness, walking, mobility and everyday movement still matter enormously.

But if you’re 40+ and asking me:

“where should I start?”

My answer would be simple:

👉 Get stronger.

Because the goal isn’t just to be fit at 40.

It’s to build a body that’s still strong, capable and independent at 60, 70 and beyond.

Think of resistance training as an investment in your future self. 💪

📌 Save this post and send it to someone who thinks they’re too old to start lifting.

Motivation comes and goes. That’s normal.

The people who make progress aren’t motivated every day. They’ve simply found a way to keep showing up — even when life is busy, energy is low, or they’re not really feeling it.

Some days you’ll train hard.
Some days you’ll just get it done.

Both count. 💪

Forget perfect. Aim for consistent.

Your future self will thank you for the days you showed up when you didn’t feel like it.

☀️ Summer doesn't have to mean losing all your progress.

Every year, I hear the same thing...

*"I'll get back into it in September."*

But here's the problem...

Fitness isn't about being perfect all year round.

It's about staying connected to healthy habits, even when life gets busy.

Holidays, BBQs, family days out and weekends away are all part of summer.

You don't need to avoid them.

You just need a plan.

Here are a few simple ways to stay active this summer:

🚶 Walk whenever you can.

🏋️ Aim for 2–3 quality workouts each week.

🌳 Choose active days out with family and friends.

📅 Schedule your exercise like any other important appointment.

⏱️ Remember that even a 20-minute workout counts.

Most people don't lose progress because they enjoy summer...

They lose progress because they stop completely.

Lower the bar.

Not your standards.

Something is always better than nothing.

Your goal isn't to have the perfect summer.

Your goal is to arrive in September feeling healthy, strong and ready to keep building.

💬 Which one are you committing to this summer?

☀️ Walking
🏋️ Gym
🚴 Cycling
🏖️ Staying active with the family

📱 Comparison is one of the fastest ways to lose motivation.

We see someone's transformation...

Their holiday photos...

Their PB in the gym...

And suddenly, we feel like we're falling behind.

But here's what social media doesn't show you...

❌ The years of consistency.
❌ The setbacks.
❌ The missed workouts.
❌ The moments they wanted to quit.

You're comparing your everyday life to someone else's highlight reel.

And that's never a fair comparison.

The only person you need to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

Celebrate the small wins.

🏋️ Showing up to your workout.
🚶 Going for your walk.
🥗 Choosing a healthier meal.
😴 Getting an extra hour of sleep.

These moments might seem small, but they add up to something big.

Remember...

Success doesn't come from trying to keep up with everyone else.

It comes from staying focused on your own journey.

Comparison steals confidence.

Comparison steals consistency.

Comparison steals progress.

Focus on becoming a little better every day instead.

💬 Have you ever caught yourself comparing your journey to someone else's?

Comment **FOCUS** if you're choosing progress over comparison today. 💚

😴 Feeling tired all the time after 40?

You're not alone.

One of the biggest myths is that low energy is just part of getting older.

It isn't.

More often than not, it's the result of a few daily habits that slowly drain your energy over time.

The good news?

Small changes can make a big difference.

⚡ Prioritise quality sleep.
🥗 Fuel your body with balanced meals.
🚶 Move every day—even if it's just a walk.
🧠 Find ways to manage stress before it manages you.

You don't need another coffee...

You need habits that support your body.

Remember, energy isn't something you find.

It's something you build.

One choice at a time.

If you've been feeling like you're running on empty, start by improving just **one** of these areas this week.

You might be surprised by how much better you feel.

💬 Which one do you need to work on most?

😴 Sleep
🥗 Nutrition
🚶 Movement
🧠 Stress
