Available in Newport Tourist Office, the beautifully written and illustrated book, Little Red Head is on another exciting adventure. Explore with Little Red Head and his family the stunning views, tastes and smells that Great Western Greenway Cycling & Walking Trail, in County Mayo has to offer.
Little Red Head will bring you along the amazing cycle and walking path that covers a distance of 42 kilometres taking in the magnificent scenery and terrain, taste and smells of The Great Western Greenway and includes his visit to Newport; all brought to life by Mammy Red Head Gemma McLoughlin author and Philip Foley illustrator.
The town of Newport is the first stop for Little Red Head. He loves the 19th century red sandstone viaduct that he sees as he cycles into the town. Little Red Head heads to the famous Kellys Butchers for some of its renowned Kellyβs pudding which he loves to eat for his breakfast!
Come along with Little Red Head as he travels and explored the Island of Ireland, what will he see today? Who will he meet?
