Mitchelstown Bowls Club yellow team who were runners up in their division ’25-‘26 and who received their medals recently- Liam Lacey, Kieran O’ Keeffe, Vinny O’ Donnell, John Lineen, Aisling Lineen and Alan Crean. A first for the club!

For the first time ever, we had two of our own club teams playing against each other in the same division!

Plenty of laughs, a bit of friendly rivalry, and probably a few people not quite knowing who they were supposed to be cheering for!

Of course, when the last end is played, competitive side comes out — and we were very mindful that there was a league game to be won.

A great occasion for the club, a great game, and most importantly, a brilliant start to the league season! 👏

Well done to both teams — here’s to plenty more bowls fun and success throughout the season.

Congratulations to the yellow team at Mitchelstown Bowls Club who were runners up in their league devision ‘25-‘26 and who received their plaque and medals last night. The team consisted of: John Lineen, Aisling Lineen (pictured at the presentation), Vinny O’ Donnell, Paul O’ Connell, Anne O’ Connell, Bernie Caffrey, Alan Crean, Jerry Buckley, Kieran O’ Keeffe and Liam Lacey.

A great day had by all at the South of Ireland Band Championships. The band sounded great - this outing is always the highlight of our year.

Congratulations to Eleanor on a fantastic Captains prize night last Friday. Good food, fun bowls and wonderful camaraderie was enjoyed throughout the night. A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it such an enjoyable occasion. Congratulations to all the prize winners, and special thanks to our Captain for a memorable event. 🏆🏅
