🏌️‍♂️Thanks to everyone who organised, sponsored and took part in the successful Rossmore Club Classic over the weekend.

The McElvaney's Waste & Recycling Chipping Challenge results are as follows. A total of €1,210 was raised for course development. For information purposes 5 participants hit bin 1 while there were 2 balls each in bins 2 & 3. All these individuals were entered into a draw for the relevant prizes:

⛳️ It’s great to see the new putting green in action with Captain Eugene and Vice Captain John trying it out.

A sincere thanks to all those who participate in the 50/50 draw which funded the new green. Also thanks to Captain Eugene & Brendan Casey who spearheaded the development of the green, Kieran O’Reilly who assisted with its design, our PGA pro Shaun Donnelly who advised on the golfing side, the volunteers Mattie Watters, Noel O’Mahony & Dan Murphy who painted the sleepers, the greens staff and Michael & Maurice who maintained and tended to it during the year, to Michael Greene (MJ Kelly) who constructed it. Thank you. The 50/50 draw is starting to deliver much needed improvements to the course and it’s great to see.

It’s already proving very popular and will be a great asset for years to come. Whether it’s spending a bit of time practicing, whether it’s hitting a few putts before a round, whether it’s juveniles learning the game, whether it’s visitors and inter club teams using it - it’s a credit and a great addition to the club.
