Opening Day Monday January 6th 2025

Feels like yesterday, feels like a lifetime ago!

It is with a bittersweet feeling to announce The Fitness and Therapy Centre Monaghan (emphasis on Monaghan) is closing on Friday October 2nd

It has been an amazing 20 Months so far of Pilates and Therapy and I couldn't be happier with how things have gone here. I never thought I'd move home from Galway let alone set up my own business and it's been a great experience.

I hope I have helped people through injuries and pain or simply introduced them to the wonders of Pilates both Reformer and Mat. I have learned alot over the 20 months and will bring that knowledge with me in my future endeavours.

The sweetness of this news is that I'm closing up with a new big adventure waiting for me and Erika.

There are still 6 weeks left so plenty of time to use up any credits you have left or get one last Reformer Class or treatment in before I close up.

It is amazing to see Pilates grow in Monaghan over the past couple of years and I really hope everyone keeps going no matter where it is.

See you over the coming weeks and Thank You Monaghan for everything

Niall ❤️

💆‍♂️ How often should you get a massage?

It's one of the questions I'm asked most often, and the answer is simple...

It depends on your goals.

Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing ongoing aches and pains, training for an event, or simply looking to reduce stress, your treatment plan should be tailored to you.

For some people, more frequent treatment can help support recovery in the early stages. Others may benefit from regular maintenance sessions to keep moving well and prevent tension from building up.

At The Fitness & Therapy Centre, every appointment begins with understanding your needs so we can recommend the most appropriate treatment plan for your body and your lifestyle.

If you're unsure what would work best for you, I'd be happy to help.

📩 DM "MASSAGE" and let's chat about your goals.

How often do you move your hips through their full range of motion? 🤔

One of my favourite Reformer Pilates sequences is Feet in Straps.

It may look simple, but they are some of the most effective exercises for improving movement quality while building strength and control.

Some of the benefits include:
✅ Improving hip mobility
✅ Building deep core strength
✅ Supporting a healthier lower back
✅ Increasing body awareness and control
✅ Suitable for beginners through to experienced exercisers

Whether you're looking to reduce stiffness, recover from injury, improve athletic performance, or simply move better in everyday life, these exercises have something to offer.

At The Fitness & Therapy Centre, our small group Reformer Pilates classes are designed to help you move with confidence in a supportive, welcoming environment.

✨ Client Success Story ✨

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing people get back to living without pain.

This client developed post-herpetic nerve pain after shingles. Even after the rash had healed, the pain remained and they were told it could last for months—or even years.

After incorporating Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) into their treatment, they experienced significant relief. Following a second session, they became completely pain free.

Every person is different, and results can vary, but stories like this remind me why I'm passionate about helping people recover.

If you've been struggling with:

✔ Persistent nerve pain
✔ Chronic pain
✔ Ongoing pain after injury
✔ Pain that hasn't responded to other treatments

..there may be options worth exploring.

📍 The Fitness & Therapy Centre, Monaghan Town

📩 Send me a DM with "FSM" if you'd like to find out whether Frequency Specific Microcurrent Therapy could be suitable for you.

⭐ This testimonial reflects one client's individual experience. Outcomes vary from person to person, and no specific result can be guaranteed.

🏃‍♂️ Do you run regularly? Don't overlook your recovery.

Whether you're training for your next 5K, half marathon, marathon, or simply enjoy getting out for a run, your muscles take on thousands of impacts every session.

A Sports Massage can help:

✅ Reduce muscle tightness
✅ Improve flexibility and mobility
✅ Speed up recovery between runs
✅ Help prevent common running injuries
✅ Keep you feeling and performing at your best

Recovery isn't just for elite athletes—it's an important part of any training plan.

In fact, the right type of movement can help you build strength, improve mobility, and move with greater confidence.

Reformer Pilates offers a low-impact way to strengthen your body while being gentle on your joints. Whether you're dealing with stiffness, recurring back discomfort, or simply want to feel stronger in everyday life, Pilates can be a great place to start.

What is Frequency Specific Microcurrent Therapy?

If you've never heard of FSM, you're not alone.

Frequency Specific Microcurrent uses tiny electrical currents—similar to the body's own natural electrical signals—to help support healing and recovery.

Many clients seek FSM to help with:
✔ Chronic pain
✔ Muscle strains and injuries
✔ Joint discomfort
✔ Neck and back pain
✔ Sports recovery
✔ Inflammation
✔ Nerve-related symptoms
✔ Scar tissue and old injuries

Unlike traditional electrical stimulation, most people feel little to nothing during treatment. The goal isn't to force muscles to contract—it's to support the body's natural healing processes.

Many clients report:
✨ Reduced pain
✨ Improved mobility
✨ Faster recovery
✨ Better function and movement

At The Fitness and Therapy Centre, FSM is often combined with Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, and movement-based rehabilitation to help address the root cause of pain rather than simply masking symptoms.

Curious if FSM could help you?
