As wild goats, we believe that the outdoors is for everyone no matter what your experience, skill or fitness level. What's with the goats?

Well we are wild, hairy, smelly and would eat anything (ahem...one is a bit hairier and smellier than the others)! And, of course, we love the outdoors. You don’t need to know what crampons or carbiners or mini-mals are to get up a mountain or enjoy the sea! Likewise you dont need to magically elevate or tie yourself in knots to be able to benefit from meditation and yoga. To that end, we started

Save the date!! Registration will open early October.
Long Way Round is SEMRA’s annual fund raiser, it’s a 15km night run of walk taking in forest trails & open mountain. The route is well marked, no navigation required. The walk/run is chip timed but it’s not a race - it’s up to you whether you want to go all out or take it all in 😁.

A useful tool for those New Years Resolutions from Katie 😊

This "Perfect Average Day" exercise is a great way to make realistic, long term changes to live more in line with your priorities and values.
Consider your Perfect Average Day... not some amazing day on holidays in the Bahamas drinking cocktails and snorkelling with the fishes 🐠 😂🏝
But an average normal day, that would be Perfect for you.
What would it look like? Where would you spend your time? How would you feel? How would you feel at work? At home? Overall?
What time would you get up? How do you feel? What would happen then? Walk through the day, from morning until you go to sleep...
Who would you spend time with? What activities would you do?
What would work look like?
Why? (For all the questions 🙏)
Let your imagination run, visualise really living this day... daydream... 💭
When you have it clear in your mind and heart ❤️ ask:
How can I structure my day this week to cultivate these feelings, people and activities? Be practical and realistic with how much time you can currently give, but try to find the space for all your main priorities.
What long term goals do I now have so I achieve this Perfect average day?

This gorgeous quote by Maya Angelou sums up my own mission in life and what I wish for all of my clients 🥰.
My coaching style and all of my workshops and events bring a little bit of "not taking ourselves too seriously" 😉 while also being a supportive way to gradually become more self aware and make big beautiful changes in our lives towards our passions. 🙏💗💫

I hope ye are all bringing some compassion, humour and style to this holiday period 💛

🎁 Gift Vouchers still available for anyone stuck 😉

Setting boundaries has come up a lot with clients this year. I might do a series in the new year as there is so much to say!
Boundaries are so important around this time of year especially 💗
Much like a physical boundary, a boundary provides a safe place like inside a walled garden. Inside the boundary is peace and calm and freedom to be yourself. It provides a safe place for self discovery and emotions. 🌱
They can be used to protect our emotions and energy from other peoples actions and they can be used to help us live according to our values and more authentically.
🤹‍♀️ It needs to be something YOU can control. We can tell people about our boundary and request they respect that e.g. "i dont want to talk about that" "i need more space at the moment" but we CANNOT control other people or their actions. It is up to us to reinforce that boundary nicely but firmly when it is stepped over. E.g. "You know Id prefer not to talk about that, lets talk about..." or "thanks for the invitation but im not able to join you this time"...
We use boundaries to show self care and self compassion. They are not selfish, they are necessary when used in the right way.
Its a balancing act between those starting with a fortress or a wide open field. The eventual goal is like a fluid safe river with a drawbridge 🏞🛕
We can choose who the boundary is for, and who "safe" people are to allow through that boundary on our terms. When, who and where the boundary is open.
Christmas is a sure time for boundaries to disappear. So try to reflect and make conscious choices as to when, why and who gets through them this season. This allows us to spend more authentic, quality time with the people we love and come out the other side with our energy, values and health intact!
💞 You can be guaranteed you will not have a perfect boundary season. But perfection is not the goal, just awareness and gently reinforcing when we can. Start with easier boundaries, build that muscle and work your way up to the big stuff.
I hope this helps xx Coaching is a great way to work on boundaries over time.
