🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Another busy week for Moynalty AC! ❤️🖤

The weekend got off to a flying start in Mullagh at Edwin Carolan Community parkrun, where club stalwarts Orla and Eddie both celebrated their 200th parkruns — and naturally, there was plenty of cake to mark the occasion! 🎂

Huge congratulations to Orla and Eddie on a brilliant milestone, and well done to all our members running and volunteering at parkruns in Mullagh and beyond. 👏

A big Moynalty AC contingent headed to Fairyhouse Racecourse for the Ratoath AC Half Marathon, taking on some seriously wet and windy conditions. 🌧️💨 Plenty of fantastic performances, with a special shout-out to those who somehow managed to sneak in a PB! 🏅

Kyle headed south to the Kilkenny Medieval Half Marathon, coming away with a very nice PB of his own. 👏

The weather certainly wasn't going to stop the Saturday morning crew either, with a good gang turning up at the Threshing Field for the weekly club run. 🌧️🏃‍♂️

Saturday evening brought another strong Moynalty AC turnout at the Mullagh Fair 6k, with a few members even doubling up after earlier efforts at Ratoath and parkrun. 😮‍💨 Fair play! And a big well done to Angela L and the team for putting on another great event. 👏

Elsewhere, five of our members made the trip to the picturesque village of Dromiskin for the local 5k, with great performances all round. Barney even managed a nice little cool-down after sauntering through the Ratoath Half earlier that morning! 😂

Meanwhile, Oliver's Duracell batteries took him to Donegal, where he made the most of his few days in the North West by tackling the Bundoran Dune 10k on Saturday, followed by the Donegal Town 10k on Sunday. 🔋🏃‍♂️

And finally, the Rás Gaelscoil Éanna 3.5k & 7k took place in Navan on Sunday, with some great running from the grandfather/granddaughter duo of Maurice and Freya, while Zuzanna claimed an age-category victory. 🏆👏

🔴⚫ Another exciting week for Moynalty AC! 🔴⚫🎉🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Oliver kicked off the weekend with a trip to Dundalk on Friday evening for the inaugural Bay 5k. 🌊🏃‍♂️👏

Saturday morning saw plenty of Moynalty AC representation at parkruns across the country, including Mullagh, Carlanstown, Navan, Athlone and Craigavon. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌍☀️ Paddy even headed across the water to take on Jesmond Dene parkrun in Newcastle upon Tyne! ✈️🌍👏

Down in the Kingdom of Kerry, Veronica and Johnny put in mighty performances at the Di**le Half and Full Marathons respectively. 🏅💪🌊👏

Out west again, Katriona and John took on the Ireland West ¾ Marathon in Swinford, Mayo. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌄💥

Saturday evening saw the action continue, with Ronnie and Eddie taking on the 5k and Oliver tackling the 10k at Ardee & District Athletic Club's Seamie Weldon Memorial Races. 🌆🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🔥🏅

And finally, the sisterly trio of Marguerite, Grace and Aoife were in action in Mullahoran, taking on the 5k at the Cavan Autism Annual Charity Cycle & Run. 👭🏃‍♀️💙👏

🔴⚫ Another mighty couple of weeks for Moynalty AC! 🔴⚫

And nobody has been busier than our very own Duracell bunny, Oliver, who once again seemed to be everywhere! 😂🏃‍♂️

It all started with Oliver and Hugh heading to Dublin for the BHAA Keypoint 5k, before a strong Moynalty AC crew took on the Tara AC 5k in Skryne the following evening. Great running by all and well done to Tara AC on another brilliant event. 👏

Saturday morning saw our members running and volunteering at parkruns far and wide, with Oliver even squeezing in some tourism at Carrickfergus parkrun.

Angela represented the club at the Rossin Rovers 5k on Saturday evening, while Oliver rounded off the weekend with the Antrim Coast Half Marathon, joining over 7,000 other runners and finishing with his trademark smile! 😁

The following weekend was no quieter, with Oliver tackling the Portmarnock 5k on Friday before teaming up with Garry for the wet and windy Tullamore Half Marathon on Saturday.

Also on Saturday, Eddie took on the Monasterboice 5k. Well done, Eddie! 👏

Sunday saw a Moynalty AC contingent head to Longford for the Marathon and Half Marathon. A huge congratulations to Colin on completing his first marathon – a fantastic achievement! 🏅

In the half marathon, Marguerite, Grace and Aoife all put in brilliant performances, while Oliver casually cruised through his second half marathon of the weekend! 🔋😂

Finally, a big congratulations to Noreen, who followed up her recent Ironman with an impressive 2nd place in her category at the Lough Key Triathlon. 🥈👏

What a couple of weeks for the club! 🔴⚫

Moynalty AC Roundup 🖤❤️

It was another busy week for the Moynalty AC crew, with plenty of miles, medals and craic along the way! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We had a fantastic turnout at our neighbours Kells AC for their annual Heritage 5k, with almost 30 Moynalty AC members taking to the start line. 👏 Well done to everyone who took part, with a special mention to our category prize winners Tommy and Zuzanna, while Helen also headed home with a Radical Runner voucher! 🏆🎁

The Moynalty colours were also proudly on show at the North westmeath athletic club Castlepollard 5k, where everyone put in great performances despite the sweltering conditions! ☀️🥵

Saturday evening brought another strong Moynalty contingent to Rathkenny for the Rathkenny Athletic Club 5k. Plenty of happy faces and plenty of craic, with a big well done to Kyle on his 2nd-place age category finish and to Alan, who lined out in his first race for the club. 👏❤️🖤

Elsewhere, Aidan took on the Cavan Kayakarun, Barney and Dan tackled the Wicklow mountains at the Run the Ridge 30k, Garry warmed up for Rathkenny with the Frank Duffy 10 Mile around Phoenix Park, while Padraig and Tommy put in strong performances at the St Coca's AC Kilcock 10 mile Road Race - The 10 from 10.

Oliver had another "quiet" week by his standards, taking on the Born 2 Run Dambusters 10k in County Down, the Monaghan town runners 4 Mile and the Lusk Athletic Club Man O'War 7k, as well as Castlepollard and Rathkenny! 😅

Our Parkrun tourists were also out and about, with Moynalty members spotted in London, Derry, Copenhagen and plenty of places in between. 🌍🏃‍♂️

And finally, our very own Iron Lady Noreen was in action at Ironman Copenhagen on Sunday. 💪🔥 She completed the incredible 3.8km swim, 180km cycle and 42.2km run in outstanding fashion, cheered on by a big travelling support which included several Moynalty AC'ers.

An absolutely brilliant achievement, Noreen — take a bow! 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️👏

A huge congratulations to everyone at Moynalty Steam Threshing Festival on another fantastic weekend! 🚜👏

Moynalty AC were delighted to play our part, with a brilliant team of club volunteers helping out across the weekend. ❤️🖤

It takes an enormous amount of work and countless volunteers to put an event like this together, and it was great to see the community spirit in Moynalty once again. 🤝

Well done to the entire Steam Threshing team, all the volunteers and everyone who attended. 👏

What a weekend for the Moynalty AC crew! Plenty of racing, medals, mountains, triathlons, parkruns, greenways and, of course, a fair bit of craic along the way! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🔥

🏆 Streets of Athboy 5k

Friday evening saw a big Moynalty contingent descend on Athboy for the FrMurphy AthleticClub promoted Streets of Athboy 5k, with some brilliant running and plenty of silverware coming home! 🏅

Tommy and Helen both claimed 2nd place in their respective age categories in the overall race. The event also doubled as the Meath 5k Road Race Championships, where Moynalty athletes collected an impressive 6 individual medals:

A special shout-out to Johnny, who lined up for his first ever race and absolutely smashed it! 👏🔥

Also on Friday evening, Rose swapped the roads for the hills as she headed up Loughenleagh Mountain for the Loughanleagh & M**f Heritage Trust Bilberry 5k Trail Run, putting in a fantastic performance to finish 3rd lady! 🥉🏃‍♀️⛰️

🌳 Saturday Club Run

Saturday morning brought a change of scenery as the weekly club run headed along the Boyne Valley Greenway, with the usual running followed by some well-earned refreshments in PARK BEO Greenway Hub. ☕🍰😋

🌍 Parkrun Adventures

Moynalty was represented at parkruns near and far, including North East England, where Mariusz took on York Community Woodland parkrun. 🏃‍♂️

💪 Breffni 3 Province Challenge

The Breffni 3 Province Challenge is certainly not for the faint-hearted, but it proved no bother for sisters Aoife, Grace and Marguerite, who headed to Arva and conquered the half marathon taking in Cavan, Longford and Leitrim! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🗺️

🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️ Virginia Sprint Triathlon

Aodhagan was in triathlon action on Sunday at the Virginia Triathlon & Cycling Club Sprint Triathlon and came away with 1st place in his age category! 🥇💪 Mighty stuff, Aodhagan!

🏃‍♂️ Battle of Clontarf 10 Mile

And finally, Oliver headed to the capital on Bank Holiday Monday for the Battle of Clontarf 10 Mile, putting in another strong performance around the scenic St Anne’s Park. 👏🔥
