The club would like to offer our very deepest sympathies to the Cox and Clarke families on the sad passing of Joe Cox, Derrylaney, Teemore, Fermanagh, and formerly of Legga, Moyne Co. Longford.
Especially to his children Brendan, Fionnuala and grandchildren, Aoife, Ethan, Odhran, Thomas, Saorcha, Aisling and Lewis.
Joe was sadly predeceased by his wife Collette, nee Clarke, in January 2020, and by his daughter, Lorraine in July 2022.
Joe was one of the initial starting group of teachers in Moyne Community School in 1974. He taught for a long number of years and retired around 2009. Amongst other roles, he coached a lot of GAA players who attended Moyne C.S. from the various parishes in its hinterland.
He played for the club for a period and also did some coaching for the club.
May Joe rest in peace.

Beloved husband of the late Collette (nee Clarke) & adoring father of Brendan (Lorraine), Fionnuala (Vincent) & the late Lorraine RIP. Cherished grandfather of Aoife, Ethan, Odhran, Thomas, Saorcha, Aisling & Lewis.
Remains will be reposing in Lawlor’s Funeral Home, Erne Hill, Belturbet Monday 5pm to 9pm and Tuesday 5pm to 9pm. House private please at all times.
Removal on Wednesday morning to arrive for 12 noon Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Teemore via Joe’s home in Derrylaney. Burial in adjoining church cemetery.
Deeply regretted by his sorrowing son, daughter, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren & extended family circle.
