Well done to our Boules (Pétanque) team who travelled to Cavan last Sunday for Pétanque Belturnet Melee. Well done to Michelle, Tommy, Mary C, Jackie, Mary O, Christy for competing and a big congrats to Mary Keenan who would gold with her team.

Belturbet Mêlée 🥳

What a fantastic day! We had 13 triples teams and 1 doubles team, with 41 players in total, plus a few spectators.

Players from the Longford, Loughnavalley, Dromod, Sligo and Cavan Pétanque Clubs descended on Belturbet for a great day’s play.

A huge well done to everyone who attended, and congratulations to our winning team:

🏆 Mary, Shuhel & Anita

They played brilliantly as a team. Mary displayed some of the best pointing I have seen so far in my playing career. Anita was brilliant at getting into the boules and winning the point, while Captain Shuhel is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to shooting and pointing — he has it all!
