🥏Leinster inter club league leg No3 over and out as we head to the Sunny South East next weekend to Hillview CPC.🥏.

🎈Big scores recorded over the the last 3 days. Still no 50/50. Most enjoyable to meet like minded people in the sport of Clayshooting. 🎈

🥏 On behalf off the committee here in Streete I would like to thank the organising committee of Austin Gilligan Clara Flynn , Ian Coleman and Co for accepting our Club Streete CPC back in 2023 to stage one of the legs of a very popular league. A league designed to bring new people into the sport of clayshooting. Looking forward to supporting the rest of the clubs in their quest to stage the final legs of this great competition . 🥏 The Last post I talked of the definition of Hard luck.

🎈To day I will speak about the teacher and the student. I had the privilege of meeting a man named Aidan Collins. Aidan as many know does a lot for training and bringing on young people into the sport.

As the photo attached proves his good work is working very well.

I say well done to the young lady from the pineridge club Emma O Brien. Emma as you can see got one better than the teacher to score another 49/50 on the course.

Well done Eamma.Keep up your interest. Listen to the master. You will get to higher places. 👏👏👏

🎈Just to bring you up to speed on a recent fundraising event we held at the Crossroads Inn Murphys CrossroadsInn Lisryan .
You the visiting shooters to our grounds helped in no small way by purchasing tickets for a raffle we held on the night. With your help and Generosity we were able to hand over €4000.00 to Conor Farrell principal of our local St Fintans National School. We hope the said amount well in some small way to help with the education of our young people.

🎈Spring league 2026 over and done. It was a struggle this year I have to say . The weather wasn't very fair. 🎈.

🥏 Any way the ultra violet lights worked well and all seemed to enjoy. 🥏...

🏆The winners are as follows . For the first time in a very long time we ended up having to have a shoot off to decide the overall High gun winner.
Averages and 3rd scores on count back went out the window. Two of Longfords top shots were tied on all accounts. So it was back out again on the same course. I speak of Frankie Carrigy and Nigel McCloughrey. Even at that it came right down to the last clay.
Frankie finished highest took charge of the Campbell Brothers cup. and Nigel came 2nd. In Class AA.

🥏 The ball trap creates a great interest and is very popular with most. I have to say it runs well and adds to the Sporting.

As the saying goes when your on your on.
Frankie Carrigy was just on fire to claim 1st prize.
Jason Brennan Westmeath took 2nd.🥏🥏.

🥏 Next open shoot here in Streete will be next weekend. Starting Friday 13th Saturday 14th and Sunday.
When our friends from the Leinster inter club league will be with us.

Even though you may not be taking part in the league at the venues across Leinster.
Feel free to come along next week and test your scores with some of the best in Leinster.

🎈Any way night 3 of Spring League 26 is just over. 🎈.

🎈. Despite all the rain we have 57 to take part in the finals next week. Similar to other leagues in numbers.

When we have the classes sorted I hope to post in the coming days. 🎈.

👏70 plus went through to night. Chris Maguire and Trevor Reilly tied for H/G on 39. There was a few 38s. Anyway it has all the signs of a good shoot out next week. 👏👏.

🥏 Nigel Donoghue went through on the ball tonight to stand on peg 5 next week. The forementioned Mr Maguire hit 10/10. Just to keep the eye in for next week. .

The question is ??????.. Who will Mick shake hands with next week at about 9.15 or there abouts.

🎈Night No2 of spring league 2026 over and out . Believe it or not.

Not as much as a drop of rain 😁😁. 🎈.

🥏 Back to very near our usual attendance. 72 shooters took to the course. Scores came back reasonably high.
Westmeath man Chris Maguire hit the possible. Sorry Chris I have no 40 badge.😁.

👏 Not far behind was fellow Westmeath man Kevin Connell and Noel Woods from Cavan on 39/40.👏. Well done lads.

🥏🥏. The ball had 3 men put on the possible 10/10. Jason Brennan who is already through from week 1.
Chris Maguire and Nigel McCloughrey will be on peg 3 and 4 on final night in ball trap final.
