Drewstown Double 720 WRS in our beautiful Walled Garden on Sunday 23rd August

Our club was deeply honoured to present the Ann Delaney Memorial Trophy to the highest-scoring recurve archer. A massive congratulations to Oskar Ronan on taking home the beautiful bronze book trophy! Warmest thanks to Richard Delaney and his family for allowing us the privilege of hosting this special presentation.

Thanks to everyone who made it to our shoot. We know the effort it takes to make it out to our venue, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you for bringing such fantastic energy to the field.

🏹DREWSTOWN ARCHERS AT THE SLANEY CLASSIC🏹

Drewstown Archers were proudly represented by Stephen and Gordon at the Slaney Classic Weekend 3D Competition, 15th–16th August, with some exceptional shooting from both archers👏

Stephen produced a fantastic performance to take Gold in U15 Recurve Men🏆

And there could be even more to celebrate.....
subject to Archery Ireland ratification, Stephen has increased his own National Records by an incredible 105 POINTS over the whole weekend. A phenomenal achievement - congratulations Stephen

SUPERB SHOOTING FROM GORDON👏
Gordon also had a brilliant weekend, finishing 2nd after qualification and putting himself right in contention for the medals. Unfortunately, the podium wasn't to be this time, but it was still a performance to be extremely proud of.

A huge congratulations and thank you to Slaney Archers for hosting such a fantastic weekend and putting together an amazing 3D course in Coolbawn Woods.

What an incredible achievement for our junior members at the Irish Open Target Championships 2026, held on 1st-2nd August at the National Sports Campus

🥇 A huge congratulations to Cian, who claimed Gold in the Under 15 Recurve Men category. To top off an outstanding weekend, Cian also achieved new National Records, subject to ratification by Archery Ireland! 🇮🇪🎯

🥇 And an equally massive congratulations to Coleen, who also brought home Gold in the Under 18 Recurve Women category.

A big thank you to Millennium Archers for hosting such a fantastic event. We appreciate all the hard work that went into making the championships such a success.

The future of Drewstown Archers is looking very bright indeed! 🌟

🏹Congratulations to Marjan and Sharon on proudly representing us at the European Bowhunter Championships in Hungary, held from 29th June - 5th July 2026🏹

Competing against some of Europe's finest archers is a remarkable achievement, and you both represented us with pride.

👏 Sharon secured an impressive 8th place in the Adult Female Barebow Reflex category.

👏 Marjan finished 25th out of 56 competitors in the Adult Female Traditional Recurve Bow category, a strong performance in a highly competitive field.

Your dedication, hard work, and sportsmanship continue to inspire our club and the wider archery community. We are incredibly proud of your achievements on the international stage.

Congratulations to you both on this fantastic accomplishment.
