Cuairt Rothar ar Ghaeltacht Bhaile Ghib ~ Gibbstown Gaeltacht Bike Ride ☘️

A leisurely cycle on quiet roads through the Baile Ghib Gaeltacht to a refreshment stop at Park Beo Greenway Hub in Wilkinstown. Return to Navan via the Boyne Valley to Lakelands Greenway. There will be a choice of routes, 20km or 14km.

Come back to yourself in this safe nourishing space as the sun sets along the Boyne Valley to Lakelands Greenway in the heart of Ireland's Ancient East. 'Save the Last Dance' Open Air Drama Production ~
Saothar Dramaíochta Faoin Aer 🎭

Welcome back to Sharon Carroll and Yellow River Drama group on their 3rd year to perform a special ‘Siamsa Glas Railway Drama’. Following on from the success of ‘The Journey’ and ‘For The Love of Ledwidge’, Sharon has written and directed this new piece ‘Save the Last Dance’ inspired by the customs, culture and history of the locality. The production takes us back to the swinging 60’s in Wilkinstown Village where excitement is building with talk of a new showband appearance in the local hall. Local ladies working in Navan Carpets get a great surprise when Johnnie Burke arrives back looking very stylish from his time in New York. But what has he up his sleeve under that fancy American suit? And what does it mean for the locals?…

Live Music Session with ‘Moodswing’ 🎶

‘Swing’ by Park Beo to get into the festival ‘mood’ with live music by local group, ‘Moodswing’. Park up and grab a coffee whilst enjoying a few tunes, before wandering down the Greenway to Wilkinstown railway platform for a special Siamsa Glas production of ‘Save the Last Dance’ by Sharon Carroll and Yellow River Drama Group. Mingle with the locals and cast and meander back to Park Beo where ‘Moodswing’ will resume with their session of live music and song in the Gazebo. Join in this relaxed welcoming singsong event. All welcome!

Turas Rother Teaghlaigh & Picnic ~ Family Bike Ride & Picnic 🚲

A fun and easy going 8km family friendly bike ride starting at Park Beo Greenway Hub, cycling 4km along the Greenway to Castletown. A short break (sos beag) before heading back the same safe route to Park Beo enjoying the freedom of the great outdoors. Free time to sit back, relax and soak up the Siamsa Glas festival vibe whilst enjoying a well earned yummy picnic. Park Beo Outdoor Café will be open for your favourite post picnic treats and ice-cream. Bring your own bikes or hire onsite at feelgoodbikerent

All participants please bring a bike helmet and hi vis vest 🪖🦺. Come along and enjoy the fun and freedom of Greenway Cycling!

An Rith Glas ~ 5k Green Run 🏃🏼‍♀️

Run wild, untamed and free with Fiáin Run Club. Kicking off with a 5km Green Run on Saturday and Sunday mornings as part of Féile Siamsa Glas. All paces, no pressure, just getting outside in the freedom of the great outdoors on the Boyne Valley to Lakelands Greenway and maybe picking up a few words as Gaeilge! Come as you are and move at your own pace in nature on this chilled social run. Expect a few surprises along with delicious refreshments and that feel good factor. Everyone welcome!
