This is how we create better life experiences and cultivate authentic communities... by developing our ability to process & grow from sitting with hard truths - by connecting simple human to simple human free from all the stories we attach meaning to. Lean into courage to speak the truth AND be open to HEAR the truth. There's not one of us without flaw, but equally, there is not one of us without heart.

When we focus on power with one another as Celtic Spirituality emphasises, we automatically move away from power over one another, which leads only to suffering.

The violence needs to stop. Amplify voice over violence.

This book by the wonderful was published in 2020 and has been my constant companion in recent months... It has transformed my understanding of prayer from a practised repitition of words into a more intentional "Intimate Conversation with the Divine" that generates insight, understanding and emotional regulation.

There is so much talk of manifestation and co-creating a better reality in the wellness/spiritual world, but it falls so very short in its absence of clarifying that the universal law of humanity demands balance... we ALL must have liberation, security and peace for a thriving world. ♻️ The current model depends on excessive wealth "abundance" on one side, requiring balancing of the scales with excessive poverty "scarcity" on the other... this is the birthplace of all the world's woes 😭 It perpetuates the 'othering' as for one to feel worthy, there is an unspoken need for an unconscious 'better than' mentality. It is a reductionist, and it is an affront to our Souls. I also believe it is one of the reasons why mental health is in decline, our Souls are protesting and communicating that we are missing the point... this way of 'living' is not living.

We have been guided away from connection and community, which is the true human way, by placing our trust in the wrong people. Let each onr of us be a collective channel for healing love & community care 🙏 "All life breathes together, all life heals together." The only way we ALL survive and THRIVE is together.

Remember, there is no courage without fear. We should not be afraid to speak up for what is right... that is an illusion that has been created intentionally to keep our collective power small.

Like everyone with a moral heart, raised with a sense of right & and wrong, I have struggled with the horror unfolding in the world at present... 😢

My Soul tells me it is important to bear witness no matter the distress it causes as those LIVING this experience are unable to escape from it therefore it wouldn't be right for me to turn away from it simply to preserve the privilege of comfort. And it IS a privilege. My Soul instructs me to share and amplify the voices of the innocent in this as it will take every good humans' opposition to WRONG to communicate to the 'Powers That Be', who benefit from keeping us comfortable and mute 🔇, that we WILL NOT STAND for inhumane acts of terror perpetrated against a predominantly innocent & oppressed population. Nor will we stand for governance that aligns itself with and voices public support for 'dictators in training' IRRESPECTIVE of potential economics benefits.

The only thing we actually exit this world with, that WE ourselves each own, is our Soul, our moral courage & the integrity with which we did or did not conduct ourselves. We are not here to be liked. We are here to be true and to honour the good in ourselves and others.

In the words of Mary Oliver - It is a serious thing, just to be alive on this fresh morning in the broken world.

The letter exchange Round II is a wrap with its online gathering to bring it to its conclusion happening tonight (8th Dec @ 8pm).

For me, resilience has always been a key theme and anytime I speak on it I emphasise that it's more than simply "bouncing back". It's an essential part of our belief systems 👉🏻 knowing we're capable of not only managing but also moving through & beyond the hardship or setbacks that this life is guaranteed to throw out sometimes. We might not always be able to predict what problems will show up or what the issues will be that affect us but, through building resilience, we learn that we are more adaptable & capable of versatility than we often give ourselves credit for. 🙌🏻

This letter exchange can be looked at as a small support in the overall resilience toolkit... inviting participants to gift themselves space to think, so that they can sift through the layers to uncover a beauty hidden within any struggle that may not have been recognisable without the reflection. 💛 We hold the power to change how we relate to our experiences. I have found the invitation to "write the letter that your heart needs to hear" to be perspective flipping at its simplest - to look at something with eyes to soothe/resolve instead of deflate 💫

Exchanging such heartfelt words made physical, is also a gorgeous acknowledgement of the thread of human vulnerability that is woven amongst us all... we NEED each other. We need CONNECTION. We need the comfort & reassurance of knowing that irrespective of what we are going through, we all face struggle... individually, yet at the same time, together.

Let's get a bit more personal...I am big into VALUES as an important link in changing behaviours.
👉🏻 Taking action based on what’s good/right (values based) can be challenging but when we operate from this place the positive effects have longevity; they lead to empowerment & fulfillment.
👉🏻 Taking action based on feelings way easier & offers almost immediate gratification but this satisfaction is often fleeting.

This is why I class emotional intelligence as the superpower of superpowers 🙌🏻

Growing awareness around how we make our feelings part of the story we create for our experiences is a game-changer & precedes the move away from self-centredness to return to more beneficial behaviours based on personal values. It supports leading a life in right relationship - with yourself, with those around you and with nature which sustains us all. I believe in whole system intelligence, marrying the emotional, intellectual & physical to guide informed decision making.I am very much community/connection oriented rather than individualistic.
Leading with values based action as a heart-centred practice, prevents using feelings to justify poor behaviour, judgement & disrespect.

My core values are integrity (encompassing trust & loyalty), freedom and community.

I am a lover of all things heritage and have been since I was young. Growing up near Tara, I absorbed tales of the fae (the Sidhe pronounced ‘SHEE’), healer lore, mythology & fables… My nose was always stuck in some book or other (no change there 😆). I often think that the answers we seek in these modern times are
not to be found without looking to history as a guide. The past informs our present (lest we forget) - this is well known for psychological healing so its not a stretch to apply it in other areas. This love of heritage has me ‘a tourist in my own country’. Is

I am interested & passionate about identity; its origins, its evolution as we grow and its power to root us or imbalance us depending on how connected we are to our inner Self, the ‘little human’ that inhabits our core. I have added a few links to

Launching the # LettersToLift October after much enquiry and to facilitate those who looked to join after the first exchange was already in motion. 💌

I've shared a highlight reel to my profile with participant shares & other info. The first exchange brought a much needed uplift & joyful anticipation as well as an invitation to stillness. It encouraged participants to connect inwards with compassion & tenderness so as their words could spill outwards infused with presence, communicating heartfelt whispers with the ability to shift perspectives... These intentionally prepared letters were individually & diversely designed to reassure, raise spirits & find resonance in the mind, body & Soul of their recipients.

For me, success isn't so much about what you accomplish in life or money - it's about what you inspire in others, how you make them feel, how you encourage them back to themselves & the integrity with which you do things. 💞

Let's re-imagine letter writing as the creative ally it truly is in times of adversity.

There is no difference between us. We are all one race, human - each an individual, distinct blend of mind, body & spirit. 💫

As the letter exchange which began towards the end of August reaches its conclusion I'd like to communicate the deepest gratitude to all participants. Together, we raised €330 for an amazing charity who support people through their various challenges & pulled out all the stops to offer people free online counselling throughout the current health crisis. It's a much needed resource in a time where no one is immune to struggle. 👏🏼

This life is not always easy but it has so many moments of connection, love & happiness to make us willing to take the rough with the smooth. These days there are so few (if any) of us who escape the experience of being hurt when they've needed to be heard, comforted & reassured. Neuroscience tells us we repeat what we know using well worn neural pathways that can often instruct us by default, to protect our inner, vulnerable self through armouring up rather than softening into & finding compassion for our suffering.

I'm so proud of all the Letters To Lift 💌 participants who leaned into courage & connection as a conduit to express the words that they most needed to hear with the intention of allowing them to positively ripple out to lift another. 💞

My wish for the exchange was for participants to find new appreciation for their individual awareness & sensitivity, to wonder at the depth of empathy and compassion they have within, to find comfort in their own words first & to find deep satisfaction & reassurance for themselves in taking part. 😊

Words are powerful especially when crafted with care, attention & kindess in our hearts. The physical act of writing invites a sense of presence that is often absent in virtual communication and allows for more conscious, heartfelt expression. I have such appreciation for the beautiful souls that joined me in this first letter exchange. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏

It’s something that I say regularly, words are powerful. They
are the basis of our power to create and to bring about change.

I am so excited about the project!! 🔥 I had the pleasure of being part of a casual letter exchange (within a
membership I am active in) last year and it was such a beautiful experience that boosted me no end!

I know that blank pages and at times, little instruction can
detract from such experiences for people and I do not wish to
add any stress. I am sure that everyone will agree we have more than enough to keep us busy on that front!! So with that in mind here are a few suggestions for anyone who may need them… Be open to all forms of communication as what YOU most need to hear could be:

👉 A transcription of your favourite poem or quote...
👉A poem that you write yourself (there are no literary critics
participating!)...
👉Words from a song that moves you or stays with you…
👉Something you read in a book that you flicked through in
a moment of need...
👉It can be a drawing with some words or no words (I am
visualizing Charlie Mackesy as I write this)...
👉It can be a specially chosen greeting card if you
happen across one...

The point is, as long as it is something that comes to you, means something to you
and comes through your pen onto the paper, it will be exactly what is needed - heartfelt, written with intention, meaningful (both to you as you will receive it first and to the lucky person paired with
you). 💫

If it reassures YOU, you can be sure it is the exact balm that will comfort and lift another Soul.
This is not an exercise in perfection. It is an exercise in
CONNECTION!! 💞
