Last night’s Six Red competition brought out 22 players, with three junior players getting stuck in too.

If you’ve been down to the Six Red at all, you’ll know Noel Lynch is no stranger to final, he’s one of the most regular faces at the business end of the competition.

Last night he made it count. Noel faced Anto Flanagan in the final and made no mistake, taking it 2–0 to claim his first Six Red title of the season.

Just a heads up: the club will be closed all day and night this Friday, 23 October, while the carpets are cleaned. We are open again at 2 pm on Saturday.

Don’t forget the Vinny Sheridan Shield this Sunday morning. This is a Six Red Competition , best of five. Handicapped. €20 entry

Tuesday night’s Six Red competition brought out 24 players, with two junior players getting stuck in too.

In the final for their first time was Joe Donegan up against Damian Behan, and Joe made no mistake, taking it 2–0 to claim his first Six Red title.

Well done, Joe! 👏 And hard luck, Damian, a strong run to the final.

Tuesday night’s Six Red competition brought out 31 players, with four junior players joining in alongside 27 adults. Great to see so many taking part!

In the final, it was Dara Martin up against Rob South, and it went all the way to the respotted black before Dara held his nerve to take the win and claim his first Six Red title of the season. Dara, known to many of us as the Celbridge Raider, makes the trip over from Celbridge Snooker Club to regularly take the winners’ cash home. He reached two finals last year and won one of them, so it’s no surprise to see him back in the winners’ seat. 👏

26 players turned out for Tuesday night’s Six Red competition ,a great crowd as always.

In the final, it was Martyn Collision up against Mark Donovan, and Martyn made no mistake, taking it 2-0. A brilliant result, that’s Martyn’s first ever Six Red title!

Well done, Martyn! 👏 And hard luck, Mark another strong final.
Note for you everyone’s dairy, the Myles Cup is on Thursday the 8th Oct at 7.30 it’s the first cup competition of the season. It would be great to see you all there.

Tuesday night’s Six Red competition brought out another great turnout , 28 players in total, with four junior players getting stuck in too. Also nice to see some new members taken part for the first time.

In the final, it was Mark Madden up against Steven Jacob, and Mark made no mistake, taking it 2–0. Mark only claimed his first Six Red title at the end of last season, so it’s brilliant to see him starting this campaign the way he means to go on.

Week Two of the Six Red competition last night meant another full house, with 29 players turning up for plenty of craic, banter and, of course, a little bit of competitive snooker thrown into the mix!

There’s one man who always seems to win on the banter side of the night, and that’s Daithi O’Connell. He’s constantly throwing out one-liners that have everyone in stitches. He might be up for a laugh off the table, but he’s a very different lad when it comes to the competitive side of things!

Daithi dispatched some very strong opposition last night, most notably Aaron Donnelly, who yesterday made his first ever century break ,a fantastic 104! 👏

In the final, Daithi faced last year’s Six Red champion, Rob South. It went all the way to the respotted black, but Daithi held his nerve to take the win and claim his first Six Red title of the season.

Well deserved, Daithi! 👏And hard luck, Rob another great performance.

The Leagues are also gathering serious momentum! We now have 59 players signed up, with the first fixtures due to be announced on Friday night. (A day earlier than first announced)

A massive thanks to everyone who has signed up. The response has been phenomenal, and it’s fantastic to see so many members getting involved. 👏

What a start to the season! 31 players turned out last Tuesday evening for the first of our weekly Six Reds competitions, and Alan McCoy took the win, congratulations, Alan.
There are 40 Six Reds nights on the calendar for the 2026/27 season. Alongside the weekly competition, we're running an Order of Merit: every player who takes part earns 1 point, semi-finalists get 2, the runner-up gets 3, and the winner gets 5. At the end of the season, the top 16 players on the Order of Merit go into a free competition.
Leagues Update:
We're delighted to announce that 54 members have signed up for the upcoming leagues so far, a phenomenal response, and a sign of how strong the club is right now.

All members are very welcome to enter, after all, isn't that why we play snooker in the first place, to enjoy some competitive games? No matter what skill level you are at, there is a league for you.
