Two of our men’s senior teams in league action this morning 🔴⚪️

Our senior first team travel to Kells this morning to take on Kells Celtic AFC in NEFL Division 1 action. The lads will look to build on two consecutive draws in recent weeks. Kick off is 11.30 am.

Our senior third team host Ballyhaise Celtic this morning in Robinstown. Kick off for this NEFL division 4 match is 11.30 am.

All support welcome for each of our teams as they continue their league campaigns this morning.

Our Men’s Senior Second team are aiming to continue their Division 3A league unbeaten run today as we host Enfield Celtic FC in Robinstown. Kick off is at 2 pm.

🔴 Division 1 Match Result

Trim Celtic AFC 0 – 0 Robinstown FC

A second goalless league draw between these two sides made it two draws in a row for Robinstown first team.

The first half saw most of the possession with the home side with Trim Celtic’s best chances coming from a flurry of corners midway through the half. Robinstown’s best chance on the half came from a Harry Bowman line break resulting in a good save from the keeper.

The second half saw Robinstown start the brighter with a few chances early in the half passing without the ball in the net. The game ended without either team able to find a breakthrough and the point shared for the second time in the league this season..

A busy weekend for our men’s seniors with all three of our men’s teams in league action 🔴⚪️

SATURDAY

Our first senior fixture of the weekend kicks off at 2.30 pm in Trim as our Men’s Senior first team travel to face Trim Celtic AFC Reserves in Division 1 league action.

Our Men’s Senior third team are also on the road as they travel to OMP United to continue their Division 4 campaign. Kick off is 3 pm.

SUNDAY
Our Men’s Senior Second team are aiming to make it three Division 3A league wins in a row on Sunday morning as they host Ballivor FC in Robinstown. Kick off is at 11.30 am.

All support welcome for each of our teams as they continue their league campaigns this weekend.

🔴Division 1 Match Result�

Robinstown FC 2 - 2 Enfield Celtic FC

Robinstown started strongly on Sunday morning against Enfield Celtic, aiming for an improved performance from the previous week.

It wasn’t long before Cory McCarthy found the net, heading home from a Brian Fay set piece in the 20th minute. Despite conceding against the run of play from a well-taken set piece on the half-hour mark, Shane Bell put the hosts back in front minutes later following a long-range pass from Paul Maxwell.

The travelling side equalised from another set piece at the start of the second half and, despite a good showing from both sides in attack, the game ended level, with both teams reduced to ten men late on.

Best of luck to Enfield Celtic FC for the rest of the season.

Well done to the girls today on a fantastic performance all round with everyone putting in the hard work that was needed and playing some brilliant football. We completely dominated the first half and the 5-1 half time score didn't flatter us . Goals from Alannah (2),Lucia,Kelly and Ella gave us a fully deserved 5-1 half time lead. Indeed 2 of the goals are contenders for goal of the season with Ella running with the ball from midfield and beating a number of tackles to slice through Longwood and finish in the far corner. Alannah's first goal came from brilliant work from Kelly who won the ball in midfield and battled through 3 tackles to carry the ball forward and pass it into Alannah who placed it in the far corner.
Longwood came into it in the second half and pulled 2 goals back and could have had a couple more but for some fine saves by Rachel. We then had a few good chances of our own to kill the game but couldn't take them. Ellie Mae was superb in defence and won every ball she went for and was ably supported by Amelie,Mairead and Ellie/ Kathryn who defended superbly when we were under pressure. Our midfield of Lucia,Emilia,Ella and Natalia covered a lot of ground and put in a lot of hard work ( and brilliant football) and our front line of Kelly and Alannah kept their defence under pressure and could easily have had a few more goals. Nice to see Isabelle come along and give her support even though she was injured.
