⛵️ Spotlight on Niall and Neil in the Fireball events this summer ⛵️

🇮🇪 Irish Nationals 🇮🇪
At the 2026 Fireball Irish National Championship, hosted by Howth Yacht Club from June 19–21, Niall McGrotty and Neil Cramer finished 7th overall in the event.
The duo battled a highly competitive 18-boat fleet through a 9-race series marked by incredibly unpredictable, shifting wind pressures and directions. They sailed a very steady regatta overall! 👏🏼

🌍 Fireball Worlds in Royal Torbay Yacht Club ⛵️
They battled a massive 84-boat lineup representing 11 nations across a grueling, multi-day 9-race series. Facing a wide mix of conditions that ranged from heavy, 20+ knot gusts early in the week to tricky, light, and shifting sea breezes, the pair stayed highly competitive. They finished a fantastic 45th overall, capturing 1st place in the Bronze Fleet. 🏆

👏 A big shout out to Cillian Fitzgerald as well this week on his performance in Weymouth at Topper British Nationals. Cillian worked hard all week with all 15 races sailed. He finished 17th in a hugely competitive fleet of 105 boats, placing fifth in one race. A stellar show for his last event in the Topper. Onwards and upwards to the ILCA next! ⛵️

✨ Huge well done to Grace Fitzgerald on her Perf at the British Topper Nationals where she placed 2nd in the Regatta Fleet. This is absolutely amazing . Grace has worked so hard at her sailing for the last few months and this is some achievement. So well done Grace everyone at SSC is so proud of you 👏⛵️

⛵️ Well done to Louise, the junior committee and all our club volunteers for delivering another successful event in Skerries. 🌬️The wind gods certainly gave us a challenge but perseverance by our regatta and main fleet race officers paid off. ⛵️
