Michael Dullea Got 5th to today in the 50 category. He had a brutal battle with 4th place and got beaten by 2 seconds. With God's help he did enough to make the Irish team, and will know in next day or 2. The standard was nuts. He was ahead of last years winner by 40 seconds and most of the team from last year were back further. And gave it 101% so I have no complaints.🫰

Cork uneven ages Cross Country Championships hosted by St Catherines East Cork ,
Very wet conditions today The U 9 girls Charlotte, Hattie, Roisin, Ella and Deisree were fantastic on a wet fast course. They all ran very hard and smart, improving all the time. And its their 3rd time out as a team in last few weeks fsntastic ,
Eirinn O Driscoll U13 had a tough 2500 meters with plenty of inclines her first xc of the year , She had a very good run showing super determination. Well done to all Skibb runners. 6 starters , 6 finishers and no injuries,

Super run by Caoimhe Flannery today at the Irish Universities Cross Country Championships held in Dundalk.

Representing University of Galway ,Caoimhe finished an impressive 5th out of 71 finishers and UG were joint 3rd team
Ciara Delaney also had a super run in the mixed relay .Representing MTU ,Ciara's ran the 2nd leg ,helping her relay team finish 3rd overall!

Well done to our young athletes who took part in the Cork cross country championships held in Carrigadrohid West Muskerry AC host club
First up U9 Girls Hattie Ella Róisín and Desiree competing in the U10 race 1000m downhill start until 300m the up steep incline and down and around bottom of course for another 400m onto last 300m mostly up slight incline with fast finish to the Tunnel girls finished 12th club with 124 finishers and no injuries,
Next up Luke and Paddy in boys U10 1000m again same course they also ran very good ,
Onto U12 2000m girls Kitty ran very steady and sensibly paced herself really well as she had 2 laps of the same course tough going

Well to Michael Dullea who had a superb running over 6000m to win the West Cork Senior men at the West Cork Cross country championships held at the new race track in Lyre Clonakilty, race was 5 laps first 2 laps just over 2k and then on to bigger lap X 3 of those to make up another 4000m a very good course
Michael had a great battle with Michael Harrington from Durrus AC and Brian from Bandon with lad from Westmuskerry coming through to take 3rd

Well done to our Juvenile athletes who competed in The West Cork cross country championships today in Lyre Clonakilty new venue ,
first up at 11am U9 girls 750m race Róisín Hattie Charlotte and Ella all ran superbly to get 2nd Club medals ,
In the Boys U10 1000m Luke and Paddy both ran very well ;
And in the Girls U12 2000m Kitty also ran very well , so well all

- Lyre, Clonakilty
- ⁠Sunday 27th Sept
- ⁠Clonakility Juvenile AC the host club.
- ⁠Postcode details to follow.
- ⁠No pre entry required
- ⁠€3 entry payable by all on entry to venue. Senior Athletes €5 (Max €10 per family)
- ⁠First race will be girls u9 at 11:00am followed by boys u9, then girls u10 etc.
- ⁠Adult races will be held after the Juvenile races are over so they will start at approx 1:00pm.
- ⁠Medals for top 3 in each race, prizes for top 3 teams in each race with 4 scorers per team. If there isn’t teams of 4 then we will look at teams for 3.
- ⁠Team medals will be distributed to the team managers at the end of the day.

Rough guidelines around timelines
10:15 Gates open.
Girls u9 race at 11:00, boys race follows.
Girls u10 race at 11:20, boys race follows
Girls u12 race at 11:45, boys race follows
Girls u14 race at 12:15 other juvenile/junior races to follow
Adult races start approx 1pm
*Times may move forward or back to facilitate the smooth running of the event, please be attentive to the PA announcements.*

Individual medals for each of senior/novice and masters categories for men/ women but all categories combined for team prize
There won’t be separate races for novice/senior/master, so all the women for example will run together, and declare their category before the start.
Medals awarded to the top 3 in each category at the finish.
Overall team prize also, 4 athletes to score, so team could for example be 2 senior, 1 novice and 1 masters, or 4 novices.
and it would be possible to win more than 1 team prize if enough athletes from one club team took part.
