Well done to Conor O'Brien who had a great running in the Boys U16 1500m finishing 2nd just pipped in last 100m
And Laura Mae Coakley 4th in the Discus she's gets Pewter Medal ,
Last year for Both as only up to U16 in Community games track and field

Well done Girls competed for Skibbereen Community School through out their 6yrs in Javelin Discus Hammer Steeplechase Shot-putt 1500/3000m 400/800m at the highest level
NB We know Elaine has one more year as was in 5th year but not too worry she has plenty more athletes following in the girls path
So best of luck in the future and leaving cert results out tomo friday 21st August that will determine which college ye all head for , so 3 cheers for the Girls of Skibbereen

At the Cork junior track and Field championships Sunday 19th July
Lorraine Coakley 1st in Javelin 600g her first time throwing in competion with best throw of 33.84m she was delighted ,
Diana Rose Coakley her older sister competed in the Hammer 4kg which she also won and this is her last competion as a junior athlete

Well done to our Juvenile athletes who competed in the West Cork Summer league hosted by Clonakilty Juvenile athletic club at the Rugby grounds which we give big thanks so 4 summer leagues done that wraps up West Cork until the cross country in September

Conor O'Brien ran in the boys 800m Saturday 18th July at the SIAB schools international in Belfast
Finish 6th in a very good time 1:59.15 mins
Then he took part in the
4 x 400m. Silver with Ireland Delighted!

3rd for Lorraine Coakley in the girls U18 javelin 500g she had personal best of 33.85m at the National championships Tullamore today she also did Shot putt 3kg best throw of 9.69m to finish 4th
