Sligo's 1st ACP Dragon Boat Club...registered not for profit...Cancer Survivors & Supporters...Surviving & Thriving Together We are an ACP & Supporters club.

Our members have, either directly or indirectly been affected by cancer, or just want to support the rest of us. We are all inclusive. No experience is necessary. We just require a willingness to try & be open to a new adventure. We paddle our 40ft boats "Dragon Anna" & "Dragon Medb", and 30ft boat "Solas" out of Waterglades onto Aughamore Bay, Garavogue River & Lough Gill F91K461. Our club is affiliated to the Irish Dragon Boat Association www.dragonboat.ie. We are a Revenue approved non-profit tax exempt sports body with games & sports exemption number GS 4253.

ANNECY 2026 🐉🐉
What an amazing few days we had at the Annecy Dragon Boat festival! We came 2nd in the ladies 1200m races and 3rd in the 200m 🏆
The winning, however, is not the best part. The best part is the wonderful time spent together with other people, dancing, dressing up, laughing and connecting with teams from across the world 🌎
Heading home now today with uplifted spirits and even heavier suitcases! 😉

Honoured to be one of the 30 clubs awarded funding by the Spar and Eurospar Community Fund. Yesterday was an amazing event! Funding is so hard to come by these days, and this €2000 will help us to support our members better in the future. 🐉🐲

A beautiful day was had in Carlow at the Dragon Speed Fest🐉🐉We had a wonderful amalgamation of paddlers with us and the craic was mighty!! A big well done to every one of our paddlers, drummers and helm. Our ice cream was well deserved after! 🍦😋

A few of our dragons are starting to pack to make their way to the 2026 IBCPC Participatory Dragon Boat Festival, France 🐉
We will be representing Ireland, joined by paddlers from Limerick Dragons , Cork Dragons and Plurabelle Paddlers 🇮🇪 We are so excited to meet the other 4,500 paddlers who will be participating!! Although there are races, this event is also a celebration of survival and remembrance of those who have passed, and coming together to support one another 💗
