“The smallest movement, done with awareness, can change how you feel.” 💙
After 17 years teaching Pilates, one of the areas I’ve become most interested in is fascia, the connective tissue that runs throughout the body and plays such an important role in how we move, where we feel restricted, and how tension can be carried.
The more I learn about fascia, the more I see the value in slowing movement down and paying attention to the small details.
A tiny adjustment in position, breath, alignment or control can sometimes completely change how a movement feels in the body.
That’s what continues to fascinate me about Pilates and movement work — it’s not always about doing more. Sometimes it’s about noticing more.
Move with awareness. Listen to the body. Let the small changes add up.
