Congrats to Jnr Tennis Member Eve McSharry who finished Runner Up in the GS U16 event at the Ulster Hardcourt 200 Championship in Windsor, Belfast over the weekend.

CLUB CLEAN-UP WEEKEND! 🧹

This weekend, we’re giving Sligo Racquet Club a little TLC and getting our club looking its very best!

From freshening up our spaces and tidying the grounds to cleaning the courts and taking care of those little jobs that make a big difference. It’s all about working together and taking pride in our club.

🎾 Give Tennis a Go – What a Fantastic 4 Weeks! 🎾
Last Thursday marked the end of our 4-week “Give Tennis a Go” programme, and what a brilliant few weeks it has been!
It was fantastic to see everyone developing their skills, building confidence, having fun and enjoying time on court. A huge thank you to everyone who took part — we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
Missed the programme or still want to give tennis a try? It’s not too late! Even though the 4-week programme has finished, we still have an allocated Beginner Club Night that new players are very welcome to attend.

A Huge Thank You!

We'd like to say a huge thank you to Richie King (RK Coaching) for delivering such enjoyable, engaging, and professional coaching sessions throughout. Players of all ages have benefited greatly from your expertise, enthusiasm, and commitment to developing squash in our community.
We would also like to thank Ballyshannon Squash Club for taking part in the programme and for their continued support and collaboration.
Finally, thank you to everyone who attended the sessions. Your enthusiasm, effort, and support made the programme a great success. We look forward to seeing you all back on court soon!

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our dear club member, John Scott R.I.P.

John was a long-term member of our club. He had played Badminton, Tennis and Pickleball. His sudden passing is a great shock as he was actively playing Pickleball and Tennis up to last week.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time especially his sons Philip and Paul.

May John Rest in Peace.

The Junior West of Ireland Championships took place from 24th-26th July with over 70 entries from players aged 8 years through to age 17. The Under 14 "Girls and Boys" Events attracted the biggest entries with both draws reaching full capacity. The tournament also featured doubles events making for a fantastic weekend of competitive tennis. A huge well done to all the Sligo Racquet Club Juniors who represented the club so well throughout the tournament. Congratulations to every Junior who travelled from clubs across the country. Your sportsmanship, determination and high standard of play made for an excellent Championship. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
