The Blue Army welcomes you to participate in our Lions Tour Competition. The Blue Army are a network of past pupils & supporters who strive for the development and success of rugby in Summerhill College, Sligo. All profits from the competition will go towards the development of Rugby in Summerhill College.

There are 10 questions relating to this summer’s Lions tour in South Africa. It costs 20euro to enter and all funds raised are going towards Rugby development at Summerhill College.

Prizes are:

➡️ 1st. 2 Tickets to Ireland vs Wales in 2022 Six Nations at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
➡️ 2nd. Two Hospitality tickets to a Connacht Rugby European Cup game at the Sportsground.
➡️ 3rd. Summerhill Rugby Jacket from BLK.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, there has been a halt put to sporting activities and fundraising opportunities for charities and sports teams alike. Sligo Rugby Club has had to cancel all of its traditional fundraisers which are the lifeblood of the Club. Now more than ever our club needs your support.

This crisis is the biggest challenge the Sligo Samaritans has ever faced. Whatever you're going through, a Samaritan will face it with you. They are here 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They are waiting for your call. Freephone them on 116 123.

Everything we can raise for them will be massive towards keeping their doors and phone lines open so that they can continue to be here for us.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴?

The Senior players and friends of Sligo Rugby Club have decided to take matters into their own hands (and feet!), to set out to claim triple crown glory, and to raise some badly needed funds for both Sligo Rugby Club and The Samaritans.

𝗪𝗮𝗶𝘁, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝘆 "𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻"?

Starting tomorrow Bank Holiday Monday and for the whole month of June we are setting off to virtually claim the Triple Crown by Walking and Running the 2,000km required for us to leave from Sligo to Edinburgh Stadium to Twickenham to the Millennium Stadium and finally to return home before the end of the month triumphantly to Sligo! Our players will be asking people to sponsor them.

𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲?

Absolutely! Let us see if our supporters can beat the players and claim the triple crown first! We are asking you to get active.

1. Go out and walk or run in your club colors. (Respecting Social Distancing and within your boundaries)

2. When you are finished take a selfie with the thumbs up (Spread the positivity)!

3. Post on your social media tagging (just telling us how far you went and use the hashtags )

From Blue Shirts to Green Shirts! Congrats to Conan and Crouchy on signing their first professional contracts.

They are great ambassadors for Summerhill Rugby and we are all very proud of the lads and wish them all the best! 🏉

Summerhill Seniors play Colaiste Iognáid which is a repeat of last years final at 12:30pm tomorrow in NUIG. It looks to be a promising game!

The lads have been preparing well and are ready to go for the big match!
