Broadmeadow Linear parkrun

Unfortunately, due to a shortage of volunteers to fill key roles, tomorrow's parkrun (8th August) is cancelled.

I understand that people can have other commitments, or even that they volunteer elsewhere, but if we could just get each participant to volunteer at least once every 6 or 7 weeks, we’d always have a full roster.

Our parkrun turns one year old on the 26th September, so hopefully by then we'll have built up a solid volunteer habit at BLp!

Our parkrun was back in action this morning. Huge thanks to our volunteers for making it happen 💜

A warm welcome to Christian Cabotaje who completed his first parkrun today. Hope you enjoyed and it was the first of many.

Our first finishers this week were Nicholas Ruiter, Jim McCafferty and Chris Keeling for the males and Florence Bastow, Caroline Grandadam and Dee Flood out of our females. Congratulations to you all 🎉🎉🎉

Big well done to Una Cox, Karen Connolly and John Moore for smashing out some new PBs 🥳

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made today’s event so enjoyable. We absolutely love our parkrun and are so proud to have reached our 41st event today.

As we’re still a relatively new parkrun, we’d love your help to keep growing. Please consider volunteering every so often, if you can. It would make a huge difference and help ensure our event continues to thrive for many more Saturdays to come 💜🫶💜

Unfortunately, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's parkrun (25th July 2026). We haven't been able to get enough volunteers to fill the essential roles on the roster. We often rely on the same core team from week to week, and this isn't sustainable in the long term. We'd love to hear from you if you'd be interested in getting involved at future events!

Another beautiful (and hot) morning for our 40th parkrun.

We had lots of new faces, including the first three males over the line: Michael Gonda, Nicholas Ruiter and David Madden. Thanks for joining us.

Our first three females were Deirbhile O’Keefe,Florence Bastow and Iwona Rogulska, with Iwona grabbing a new PB, not easy in that heat. Some others who achieved a PB were James Freeman, Patrick kavanagh, Una Cox and Karen Connolly. Well done to all 👏

Big congrats to Olivia Corby who completed her 50th parkrun today 🥳

Hot hot hot! Wow thank you for joining us this morning in that heat! We had a small but mighty group today.

Stephen Ryan, Gary Aylward & Aengus Coulter were our first males over the line and our first three females were Caroline Elmes, Emma Hrebicek & Mary Hallissey. Extra kudos to Mary and Aengus who also got PBs in that heat 🥵

Big welcome to Una Cox who completed her first Parkrun, great to have you join us today.

Broadmeadow Linear parkrun #38

It was so nice to see so many participants this morning. We had a lot of new visitors, some who came from as close as Donabate and some from as far as Donegal and even Australia! Warm welcome to Anna Maloney who completed her first parkrun, hopefully you enjoyed it and it will be the first of many.

We had lots of speedy legs out there today, and a good few PBs to prove it 😮 Joe Holt completed the course in 17:27, our second fastest course time so far!! Joe was swiftly followed by Stephen Ryan & Nathan Pearce. Our first females over the line were Florence Bastow, Joanne Lynch and Caroline Grandadam. Well done to all 💜

Huge congratulations to Noel Fitzgerald on completing 50th parkrun this morning, amazing achievement 👏

Lastly a big thanks to our wonderful volunteers and the new member of our team Daisy the Cow who did midweek course check to make sure everything was going to run smooooothly (I’ll get my coat 👀)

Well the sun has officially packed up and left us with some dark murky clouds for parkrun this morning 👀

Our first male finishers today were Robbie Kelly, John Byrne and Mark Boyd, whilst our first three females over the line were Ciara O Meara. Emma Stewart and Florence Bastow.

We had two visitors who achieved big milestones this morning. Sarah Monaghan from Drogheda & District Athletic Club completed her 25th parkrun and Michael Coyle completed his 50th parkrun. Huge congratulations to you both 🙌🏼
