Huge member spotlight tonight 😍

👉🏽 Sinead Nugent

Someone who has had an amazing journey of her own with her health & fitness…
And who is also an absolute pleasure to train 🙌🏼

Side mention: She is a beast
With one of the stand out moments from her time at DMPT…
Completing 40 (yes 40) unassisted chin ups for her 40th birthday 🚀

Keep up the amazing work Sinead!

👉🏽 How long are you with DMPT?
8 years😲

👉🏽 What is your biggest achievement since starting with DMPT?
A couple of different things over the years. From weight loss, PB’s, and new friendships💪🏻👫👭. But probably finding something and sticking with it constantly.

👉🏽 Why is that your biggest achievement?
I have tried everything over the years from booth camps, zumba aerobics, aqua aerobics...... you name it, I’ve tried it, and I’ve never stuck with it.
To training 5 times a week, every week for 8 years, and loving it as much now, if not more than day one🥰

👉🏽 What would you tell your old self knowing what you know now?
Start now, find a great coach, a great community, and get stuck in. Trust the process and except the bad days as much as the good days, and just keep turning up

Member Of The Month

Ben Thompson 🚀

Huge huge shoutout to our most recent member of the month Ben👏🏽
This hasn’t been just about the past 30 days or so…
Ben has been soooo consistent for months now and his efforts truly show!
Boasting incredible strength numbers across all of his lifts, it’s amazing to see his hard work and patience pay off 🔥

Check out more from the man himself below 👇🏽

What has been your biggest achievement to date?
👉🏽 My biggest achievement to date has been consistency. No matter how busy I am with work, etc I always make time to get to the gym.

Why was this your biggest achievement?
👉🏽 I’d say this is my biggest achievement because when I first started training I would find myself putting the gym at the bottom of the list. Now the gym is something I look forward to each and every week. It helps me clear the head and feel overall healthier. I’d put this down to the structure in DMPT it makes it easy.

Knowing what you know now… What advice would you give the old Ben?
👉🏽 I’d tell the old Ben that being consistent and having a structured plan in place makes everything a lot more achievable. This is one of the many reasons I love DMPT. Every classes, every week is laid out in an easy to follow structured format. There’s no time wasting like in a commercial gym when I used to find myself wandering around for an hour and a half probably not doing very much.

An incredible member spotlight this evening😍

👉🏽 Katie McCormack

Check out what she had to say about her amazing progress below🔥

How long are you with DMPT?
👉🏽 I’m a member with DMPT since March 2024 😊

What is your biggest achievement since starting with DMPT?
👉🏽 My biggest achievement is definitely improving in strength and fitness levels 💪🏼

Why is it your biggest achievement?
👉🏽 I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in 2021 thankfully in remission since 2022 🥳 but from all the treatments I received…
I felt like my body had been hit by a truck my energy levels were on the floor and what little strength I had was massively reduced…
Took a long time to build my body, strength and energy levels back up and DMPT really helped with that…
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help from Darren, Leon and Wes.

What would you tell your old self knowing what you know now?
👉🏽 To get into lifting weights much sooner that you’d love it, I used to always think the gym was just for training cardio 😂

Advice for anyone sitting on the fence about their health, strength & fitness journey?
👉🏽 Anyone looking to start training I couldn’t recommend DMPT enough the classes are tailored to suit everyone no matter the fitness level. They’re very educated trainers that want the best for everyone and always there for help and guidance…
Plus you can always have a laugh in sessions too😂 Very welcoming gym with really friendly members😊

Slow Down 😍

It’s now January 1st…

The pressure to kickstart your health and fitness journey can feel overwhelming…

But here’s a gentle reminder
👇🏽
You don’t have to hit your new year goals in January!

Yes it’s important to start!
But it’s even more important to follow through with what you said (even if it takes a little longer)

Slowing down is important for…

👉🏽 Sustainable Change
Rushing into drastic changes can lead to burnout and frustration!
Take time to build habits gradually ensures they stick.

👉🏽 Mindful Progress
Focus on understanding your body and its needs!
Listen to what works for you instead of chasing quick fixes

👉🏽 Realistic Goals
Setting achievable milestones allows for steady progress!
Celebrate small wins along the way…
They’re just as important as the big ones!

👉🏽 Consistency
Long term success comes from consistency, not intensity.
This year, commit to a journey of gradual improvement. Embrace the process, stay patient, and remember…

It’s not about where you end up, it’s how you get there 🚀

The perfect plan does not exist

But if it did, it might look something like this
👇🏽

1) Reflect
Were you happy with how your health & fitness finished before the Christmas break?
What worked well for you and what didn’t work so well?

2) Set a clear goal
Be super specific on what you want to achieve over the next 3,6 & 12 months
If you don’t know what you want, how can you expect to be happy with progress?

3) Set a clear plan
Based on the above goal, set smaller bite sized chunk goals
Be laser focused each day & week until you hit them

4) Get a coach
No fluff around this one! Every single person who trains, needs a coach. It’s as simple as that!
A good coach has already made the mistakes over the years and then has also got other people similar results to what you want

At DMPT, we believe the true measure of success lies in the experiences of our members😍

Here’s a glimpse into how some of our amazing members have found their personal training journey so far 🚀

If you’re sick & tired of starting over again and again every Monday…
Here’s a plan below so that you break free of this cycle🙌🏼

👉🏽 Instead of starting fresh each Monday with an entirely new plan, think ahead and structure your Monday with a sense of continuity from the week before.
This reduces the mental load of starting over and makes each day feel like part of a long-term journey.

Take weekly steps as an example:

Weekly Schedule
👉🏽 Monday: Set your goals for the week. Ie you’re going to do a 15 minute walk on your lunch break.
👉🏽 Tuesday-Thursday: Maintain consistency with your chosen goal. Track progress and reflect in the evening.
👉🏽 Friday: Celebrate small wins and adjust for weekend coming up if needed.
👉🏽 Saturday: Use this day to either relax or catch up on steps if needed…
👉🏽 Sunday: Reflect on the week. Plan for the upcoming week, and continue progress by adding something new in

By following the above, you’ll create momentum and reduce the cycle of “starting over” each week

The key is to focus on progress, not perfection…
Build habits that become second nature over time🙌🏼

To lose weight…
Does it matter what days of the week you train on?

Short answer- no
Longer answer- it depends

As an example, let’s say you train 3 days a week👇🏽

Consider that Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday is different to training Monday, Wednesday and Friday?

• If you train 3 days in a row, there is a long gap from Wednesday to the following monday, potentially meaning you could go off track and won’t feel like you’re making progress in those days.
If you are super confident of your plan and have some good accountability, this won’t be an issue.

• If you have a days rest in between, it may give you more of a chance to recover from sessions enabling you to push more when in the gym.
You are also never too long without being in the gym each week, generally leading to better food and lifestyle choices.

Please note…
There is no perfect plan.
Only the perfect one for you!

Additional side note: the more you train, the more important the layout of your weekly schedule💪🏽
