I’ve been running for over 10 years and I’ve been coached along the way by top ranking coaches. Recently, I am under the Mentorship of 4 time Olympian and winner of 16 international marathon, Lorraine Moller. And Colin Lancaster who is a UK Athletic Coach for over 35 years. My running philosophy is based on the Science of Running. I offer a personalized running coaching service. I trained for 6 months to run a PB marathon in Milan
While the rest of Europe experienced a rain & wind weather warning

Milan baked in an unseasonal heat wave Most people are delighted about that.

Runners like me who have Haemochromatosis can’t run in the heat

The excess iron levels causes the body to overheat- that’s something I only found out recently after having a similar experience in a 10 miler.

The marathon did not turn out the way I wanted but as I said at the beginning, there’s no such thing as failure

I thought it was a lack of sport psychology that prevented me from achieving my goal

So I returned to college and completely a level 8 in Sport Psychology

This has improved my coaching service and I implement it with my clients free of charge

If I had achieved my marathon goal I might never have completed the sport psychology course

And as for .ireland , that’s for another video

🍴Coronation Chicken Open Sandwich 🐔
From one hungry runner to another — this is my 5-minute post-run lunch when I want something that tastes like way more effort than it is.

100g chicken, a spoon of 0% Greek yogurt, a spoon of mango chutney, curry powder, a pinch of turmeric, a teaspoon of cinnamon, salt & pepper, coriander. Mix, pile onto a slice of sourdough, done.

~340 kcal | 37g protein | 34g carbs | 5g fat

Getting my head back in the game after? Harder than I expected after a holiday with family and a complete break from social media.

But My biggest reminder of why I do this: watching two of my runners PB in a half marathon while I was away.

Barry ran his fastest half marathon ever.

Jen ran a PB, and for the first time broke the 2hr barrier.

This is why I post. Not for the algorithm. But for the connection. To help every runner reach their potential.

Running doesn’t need to be complicated. It’s about training smart — and it’s worth all the time I can give it.

Forget the gym. This is your strength training. 🏔️

Swapped today’s long road run for 2.5 hours on the Devils Bit instead. No pace goals, no distance, just time on your feet on the toughest terrain I could find.

Hill running is one of the best forms of strength training a runner can do. The change in surface works your Achilles and lower legs, and keeps shin splints away, no gym required.

Nothing fancy. Just fitness, built one hill at a time.
