Temporary Road closure for Streets of Thurles 5k road race. Taking place on Thursday 15th August between 8pm and 9pm. Streets affected The square, Slievenamon Road, Clongour, Friar street and the Avenues. Fantastic event for our community,
support on the night greatly welcomed and appreciated.

County 10mile championship took place yesterday in Fethard with an early start much to the joy of athletes as the heat was starting to build on our one day of Summer ☀️ the glorious sunshine made the miles pass by like running along the beach front in Lanzarote!!!
First home for the club in a great time was Declan Ryan 1st 0/45 with a great run in the build up to his Berlin marathon in a few weeks time.
Next we had Denis McCullagh with a strong run followed by Madeline Loughnane 3rd lady 🥉 overall. Next home was Laura Carey also building the miles for her Dublin marathon in October, Deniece Tuohy 3rd 0/45 was next clipping along home with another great run, closely followed by Lindsey Ryan who won Gold over 35 🥇 Martina Ryan just back from injury won Gold 🥇 in 0/55 section great to see her back tipping along.
Our ladies team won silver team medals Madeline, Laura and Deniece well done 👏.
