After the success of last week's races, expectations were high for this weekend's County Uneven age & Intermediate Championships, and it did not disappoint. Hosted excellently by Dualla Ballytarsna Boherlann AC, athletes descended on Ardmayle to contend for county medals. Moyne AC were represented brilliantly with many individual and team medals earned by our crew.

In the boys under 15 we saw Danann Sweeney run a great race amongst a competitive field to finish in 12th place. In the girls U 17 race, Magdalena Luc won a brilliant bronze medal in a very competitive race. A super result. We send best wishes to her teammate Caoimhe Slevin who was unable to finish due to injury. Moving onto the girls U19, where we had Bibi Russell and Mairead Duggan finish in 4th and 5th respectively. Brilliant races by both girls and we look forward to more action from them in the season ahead!
In the Intermediate Championships, we once saw great fields in both the ladies and men's races. The ladies faced a 5km route and we had two representing the green and gold. First home was Lisa Quinlan in 8th place, another super run from Lisa who is going from strength to strength. Michelle Dunphy continued to excell in her debut season, finishing 17th overall. Well done ladies! In the men's race we saw a fast pace pursued by the leading pack. P***e Bowe stuck to his pace well and finished in a great 27th place. John Renehan followed closely in 29th, with John Fitzgerald continuing his fine form to finish 32nd. Well done on great races!
A huge thank you to DBB AC for hosting, Tipperary Athletics and all the volunteers for the day. We can now turn our focus to next weekend where all roads lead to Dublin for the National Relays and Autumn Open Cross Country.
