Black House Racing win the Munster Hill Climb Championships 🎊 The hill climb season drew to a close this weekend on the well known epic West Limerick climb 'The Grove' 🌄. Dermot won the Championships overall, and was also first M50🥇🥇. Niamh won the women's event🥇, with Eva taking second🥈. The 3 riders had the fastest combined time up the climb, meaning they took the team prize also🥇🥇🥇.
A great way for our team to finish the season, with a total count of 27 championship medals (National and Provincial) won by our riders this season from various disciplines.
Huge thanks to Abbeyfeale Cycling Club for doing a super job of hosting this event.

National Hill Climb Championships: Congrats to Niamh who took 3rd🥉 in the women's race, and to Dermot took 2nd🥈 in the masters race. Every second was tough fought for in the Dublin mountains, leading to 2 podium positions for our team👏. Well done to Eva who also took part in the women's race.

Throwback to last weekend when Derek won his Munster TT Championships category, hosted by Abbeyfeale CC 💨

While Derek was busy winning the yellow jersey in Cork, Niamh O'Dwyer was climbing her way into the Polka dot jersey in Kerry last weekend ! Niamh and Eva represented the Cycling Munster team at L'etape Ireland. A great team effort saw Niamh take the QOM with the fastest combined time on Molls Gap and Ballaghbeama Gap, and teammate took the sprinters jersey 🚂💨 The team would like to extend great thanks to Theresa Finn for organising and promoting women's cycling and women's racing teams within Munster👏

Derek Cullen takes the yellow jersey in Charleville Wheelers Cc/c2d!!🎊 Derek rode two solid stages yesterday, including a super 2nd place in stage 2 TT. Team-mate Seanie Cummins emptied himself to defend the yellow jersey today, after a breakaway went several minutes up the road, and Derek then finished off the job👏. We have some incredible riders on our team, but it's when they work together that the true magic happens✨

Today we took the Munster Road Race overall win, and also the team prize. Dermot arrivied with a solo victory, and Sean took second and an upgrade to A1 by finishing it off with a 3 man sprint. Derek wasn't far behind them, meaning we claimed the team prize. Cathal battled hard behind, but it was not a sprinters course today. Here are just some of the photos from our day at the Munster Championships.

While the weekend racing scene has been quieter over the past few weeks, our riders have been flying in midweek league races. Derek has been ripping it up with first place in the Greenmount TT league and the Limerick league. Dermot won the Tipp/ Waterford summer league, bringing home the yellow jersey. These local leagues are an integral part of cycling and summer training, and it is great to have them up and running.
