🎤𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞!🎉🎈🎾🎾🎾👏
On 26th June last, Roscrea Tennis Club celebrated an exciting milestone in the clubs history as we held the official opening of our new clubhouse! 🏠
After many years in the making, club members, community representatives, funding partners, local businesses and friends of Roscrea Tennis Club gathered to celebrate a wonderful social occasion.
✂The evening commenced with a formal opening ceremony chaired by club chairperson Jane Marks with delegates from the various funding bodies and county councils. A blessing was then given by Fr. Corbett followed immediately by the ribbon being cut by Gail O'Meara and Michael Breen, two longstanding members and supporters of Roscrea Tennis Club.
The party celebration then continued with displays of tennis on our lovely court facilities and lots of delicious food and refreshments 🍾🍰 provided by our wonderful social committee in the clubhouse and balcony.
🙏The evening was the ideal opportunity to thank all those who have supported our club over the years and helped to make the new clubhouse dream a reality!
Among those who were critical in bringing it all to fruition were the multiple generous business and family sponsors, club members along with funding bodies such as North Tipperary Development Company, Offaly Local Development Company Offaly Local Development Company, Laois Partnership Company and Tipperary County Council.
At the heart of driving this project were the amazingly dedicated club development committee: Gail O'Meara, Billy Woods, Joan O'Meara, Siobhan Kirby, Mairead Keevey, John Gunnell and councillor Michael Smith Michael Smith all of whom worked tirelessly towards its completion over the years.
Building contractor Neil Gleeson and project manager Gareth McHugh were also instrumental in delivering the project.
Roscrea Tennis Club is now looking forward to the next exciting chapter in its growth and continues to build on the long legacy that the sport has in Roscrea 😁🎾🎾🎾
