A huge congratulations to all our winners and runners-up from the 2026 Sunmer League! 👏🏆

Thanks to Carrick Wheelers Cycling Club our co host club who held their rounds at Carrolls Cross.

A massive thank you to our sponsor, The Cycologist who once again supplied our trophies this year. Your continued support means so much to us and helps make the league possible.

This year’s league was certainly outside the norm. The cycling community experienced incredibly difficult circumstances, and our thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted. ❤️

To every rider, helper and supporter — thank you. Events like these simply wouldn’t be possible without your support, dedication and encouragement. Whether you were out competing, helping behind the scenes, driving support cars, ringing the last lap bell, taking photos Afishl Matters Sportsphoto Ireland or cheering everyone on, you played a BIG part.

Thanks also to The Red Cross Joanna Walsh and the team and our motorbike marshalls.

We’ll be back in 2027!

And finally, a big thank you to Fran Brannigan, our nominated prize giver. He was practicing his poses all week !!

Here’s to another great year and to seeing you all again in 2027! 🏆👏

Overall results from 2026 Summer League. This year was not what we all expected and unfortunately with conflicting schedules we cannot hold our presentation evening. All winners will be contacted and given their trophies kindly sponsored by The Cycologist and cash prizes (where applicable) and of course a photo op.
Shout out to everyone who helped on each night from sign in to the cokes lol.

Thanks to all for your understanding.

Important Announcement:

We, along with co-hosts Carrick Wheelers Cycling Club The Cycologist have made the difficult decision regarding the conclusion of our cycling league season.
Due to the ongoing fires in our local area, we have made the decision to call off the remaining night and finish the league prior to the final.

Safety is, and always will be, our top priority. Beyond physical safety, this decision is out of respect for our local community, which has endured an exceptionally challenging number days. Bringing additional traffic and event logistics into the area at this time simply feels inappropriate while our community recovers.

Please know that this was not a decision made lightly. We explored every possible alternative—including route changes, rescheduled dates, —but ultimately, none proved viable.

While this is certainly not the ideal way to wrap up the season, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to:
Our Riders: Thank you for turning up week after week, bringing fantastic energy and competitive spirit to every race.
Our Volunteers: This league could not run without your tireless work behind the scenes and along the courses.
Our Supporters & Sponsors: Thank you for cheering on our cyclists and backing our vision every step of the way.

What's Next?
We still want to celebrate everyone's hard work! We plan to host a presentation evening soon to officially honor our winners and runners-up. Everyone is invited to come along, —we might even hand out a few extra cans of Coke for the occasion!
Details on the date and venue will follow shortly.

Though this season ends earlier than planned, we are already looking ahead. We will be back in 2027—bigger, better, and stronger than ever.
Rebecca
