Tralee Pitch & Putt Club

On Bank Holiday Monday, we held a scramble competition for our juvenile members after they'd completed 2 weeks of coaching on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.

Massive thank you to Dunnes Stores NCR and Tralee Snooker Club for sponsoring prizes for the event. Great to have juveniles back actively playing.

Our coaching continues Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 10am to 12pm. First day is free for non-members as an introduction and new beginners are more than welcome. All equipment provided at no charge.

Delighted to have 40 kids this morning as part of our introductory week. Great to see so many enjoying the course and a team competition for the second hour. Friday from 10am to Noon is our last day of the introductory week where the coaching is open to non-members.

Next week's coaching on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will be for members only. Membership is €50 and covers children to March 2027, meaning they can play as much as they want for that period. No charge for the coaching and competitions and balls, tees, and clubs can be provided.

It was great to have 20+ kids in attendance this morning for some coaching followed by a 4-person team competition. Thoroughly enjoyed by all and we'll be going again this Wednesday and Friday from 10am to Noon.

Well done to Joey Blake and his teammates as he was part of the Kerry Juvenile Team that won the Pitch and Putt Community Games in Erry, Co. Offaly today. Great performance by Joey.

Well done also to Mark Lucey (Intermediate) and Alan O'Connor and John Lynch (both Junior) as they qualified for the final rounds of the Munster Strokeplay in Deerpark today. Wasn't to be in the end for them but solid play to make the last 18.

Michael Creagh, Mark Lucey, and Danny O'Leary will compete in the Intermediate grade on Saturday while Alan O'Connor, Gavin Dillane, and John Lynch will take the course in the Juniors.

On Sunday, our 6 Seniors - Jason Cregan, Jason O'Regan, Darren Goodall, Jamie Blake, Gavin Carroll, and Tony Blake - will play on Sunday morning. Our Ladies, Lisa O'Connor in the Intermediate and Catriona O'Connor, Bernadette O'Regan, and Silvia Raicu, will head out shortly after.

We also send best wishes to Deerpark with the hosting of the event. The weather hasn't made preparations easy over the last few weeks but the course has come into its own and will be a treat for all involved.

We'll be trialing coaching for juveniles next week from 10am to Noon on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. All kids from the age of 8 to 15 welcome and all equipment can be provided free of charge. No experience needed.

Each morning will start with coaching, followed by a competition for the remainder.

In addition, there will be a Juvenile Scramble this evening (Friday) from 5:30 to 7:00.

Course closed this evening from 6pm to 8pm as we are hosting an U16 Kerry trial.

The course is closed tomorrow as we are hosting our Club Strokeplay from 9am until 3pm approx.

The course will be closed to play today from 4pm for the rest of the day as we are hosting the Kerry CB Bob Casey Inter Club.

We will be back to normal hours tomorrow.

Juvenile Coaching will be on again this Monday from 6:30 to 7:30. Still open to non-members and all needed equipment can be provided to those without it.
