Another good Meath performance today. The Meath Gents Senior team finished third in the Leinster inter county in Glenville (Tallaght).

The team was Tadgh Harrington (Rathfeigh), Sean Downes (Stackallen), Ian Farrelly (Laytown), Paul O’Rourke (Dunshaughlin), Evan Carry (Castletown) and Mark Gibney (Trim).

Another great result for Trim players - the Meath Ladies 2 team were Leinster Inter County Overall Nett Winners.

Trim players Margaret Conneely, Bridie Cummins and Paula Weldon were on the team.

Congratulations to Trim’s Paddy Kelly, Declan Gibney and Anthony Kavanagh on their performances today helping the Meath Gents Intermediate Inter County Team win the Leinster Inter County Championship in Glenville (Tallaght) today.

📣📣 Adult & Juvenile Competition 📣📣

Well what a way to finish off the summer holidays for most of the kids tonight. We had 42 players which was brilliant.

The results of the competition was as follows:

Winners: Noah Dixon, Fionn Ledwith & Paddy Farrell
R/Up: Liam Maguire, Tadhg Gibney & David Campbell
Third: Joe Rochford, Bridie Cummins & Michael Conneely
Fourth: Vincent McCormack, Margaret Conneely and Mark Gibney

Dempsey Insurance kindly sponsored a prize for a hole in one by a juvenile. This was not won last week but the good news is that Noah Dixon had a hole in one on his last hole tonight to claim the prize. Thank you to Dempsey Insurance and well done Noah.

Thanks to Paddy, Margaret and Bridie for assisting with tonight’s competition but a special thanks to everyone who took part - this was a really good occasion and a fitting end to the summer competition series for the juveniles.

Another great day for the juveniles this afternoon. 24 played which is excellent.

4th: Adam Doran and Daniel Martin

🏆🏆 Captains Prize 2026 - Results 🏆🏆

We had a glorious weekend for our Captains Prize from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd Aug. Captains Margaret Conneely and Trevor Cummins were delighted with the turnout throughout the weekend.

The course was in superb condition so thanks to Joe, Paul and all the volunteers who assisted with work evenings for weeks leading up to this weekend.

In addition to the presentation of the Captains Prizes, the following prizes were presented and awarded on the night.

Player of the Year went to Margaret Conneely

Club Person of the Year was awarded to Paddy Kelly

A fantastic evening was had by all at the Captains dinner in the Castle Arch hotel.

Well done to all for a great weekend from start to finish and congratulations to the winners.
