Trim Pitch & Putt

13/10/2026

Saturday 10th October 2026 saw the re-introduction of the Trim & Glenville Inter Club Challenge.

This kicked off in 2016 when Paddy Kelly and Tony Greene got together and created this fantastic event between the two clubs. It had not been played since 2022 but we were all delighted to see it back on the agenda in 2026.

18 Glenville players, organised by Deirdre Egan, travelled to Trim to take part in this event. It was a little showery at the start but the rain cleared and the fabulous condition of the Trim course stood out.

We all enjoyed some refreshments supplied by Danny Fitzpatrick before and during the Pitch & Putt. We concluded the evening with the presentation in the Bounty Bar and food from Med Street Food which wrapped up a great day.

The results of the competition on the day were as follows:

36 Nett Overall
1st: Danny Fitzpatrick and John Gilsenan
2nd: Brendan Clarke and Colm ODroighnean
3rd: Bridie Cummins and Margaret Conneely.

18 Scotch Foresomes
Richie Walsh and Paul Lynch.

18 2 Ball Scramble
Debbie Mahon and Irene Finnegan.

Hole in one winners Nora OMeara and Danny Fitzpatrick.

Thanks to all the Glenville players for travelling to trim and thanks to all the Trim players for taking part. Thanks to Anne Heffernan for the tea during the day and a special thanks to Paddy Kelly for co-ordinating and running the competition on the day.

Trim were successful in taking the cup on the day and we look forward to bringing it to Glenville in 2027.

📣📣 Juvenile Matchplay Result 📣📣

The final of the Juvenile Matchplay between Noah Dixon and Eoghan Duignan was played this afternoon.

There was lots of spectators out supporting both players. Weather conditions were tough with blustery and showery conditions.

The standard of both players was exceptional considering the weather. In a great final which was played in great spirit Noah came out as the winner in the end. Well done to both players for a very entertaining final.

Many thanks to John Leonard for sponsoring the Juvenile Matchplay in memory of his Dad Connie.

In advance of our recent Captains Prize we carried out a fundraising exercise to seek local businesses and individuals to sponsor a tee box to raise much needed funds for the club as we have undertaken significant improvements to our facility in 2026.

We are overwhelmed by the response and the support we have received.

We also want to thank our committee and members who assisted with this fundraiser, without your work and efforts this would not have been possible.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to Trim Pitch and Putt Club in 2026.
