Tuam Celtic is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Andrew Carney.

Andrew was a familiar and respected figure to so many within our club. He was a friend, confidant and role model to numerous club members, always generous with his time, guidance and support.

Andrew held a particularly special place in the life of our club through his nephew, Jamie Loftus, one of our current players.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his parents Jim and Claire, his sister Jennifer, his nephew Jamie, and all of Andrew’s extended family, friends, students and colleagues, particularly those in St Jarlath’s College.
