Kilshanvey United

04/09/2026

All of us at Kilshanvey United are profoundly shocked and saddened to hear the news of the sudden passing of our friend and colleague Ade Connolly last night.

Ade was a tremendous coach and friend to all of us at the club for past few years. His passion and enthusiasm for coaching and helping young players was infectious and inspiring.

We extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Dee and their four children Matthew, Daniel, Lauren, Alison, and to all the extended members of the Ryan and Connolly families. Our thoughts are with them all in this most difficult of times.

As a mark of respect to our dear friend and colleague, all Kilshanvey United games scheduled this weekend have been postponed to a later date.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

It is with thanks to the kind and generous support of our loyal Sponsors that we can host such an amazing music festival year on year and we are truly grateful for that 😇🥰🎶

Wow, after a few short weeks, we are back in action!!

Our clubs opening Fixture is U14 Boys away to Kiltullagh in the Championship 2. This is a big step for this team after winning Division 1, they face Kiltullagh who played in Championship 1 last year.

Sunday is a busy day with three games, one at home and two away. Follow our SM to see results, or go the www.kilshanveyutd.ie for results.

Best of luck all!!

The wait is almost over… ⚽️
The 2026/27 Galway Football Association season gets underway this weekend, with U14, U16 and U18 boys and girls teams from right across Galway City and County ready to take to the pitch.
The boots are polished.
The balls are ready.
The jerseys are laid out.
The training has been done.
Now comes the part everyone has been waiting for Match day. 🔥
For some, it will be the first step in a season they will never forget. For others, it’s another chance to compete, improve and represent their club with pride.
And at the start, everyone has the same points total.
Everyone is level. Everyone can dream. 🏆
Dream of winning the league.
Dream of reaching a cup final.
Dream of that last-minute winner.
Dream of lifting a trophy with teammates, family and friends cheering from the sideline.
From the City to the County, boys and girls will pull on their club colours this weekend and begin their journey.
Good luck to every player, coach, volunteer and family involved.
Play with pride. Play with passion. Enjoy every minute.

𝗙𝗜𝗧𝗭’𝗦 𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗟𝗗 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗩𝗘! 🚁💚💙❤️
Just look at Fitz’s Field! What an incredible facility we have right here in our community

These amazing drone photos kindly sent to us by Mike Sweeney really show the scale of what has been created.

⚽🏀🏃‍♂️🏐🎾
Very soon, these pitches will be full of kids again as the new Kilshanvey United season gets underway. 💙🤍All summer, the community pitch has been busy with football too.❤️💚
But there’s one very important piece still to finish…
🏗️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞
The children filling these pitches this season will be the same children who will use the new Recreation Centre for changing, meeting, playing, socialising and making memories for years to come.

We are so close, but we urgently need to raise the remaining funds to get phase 1 of the Recreation Centre finished on time.

👉 Please help us get it over the line.

Let’s make sure that when these pitches are buzzing with children this season, the Recreation Centre is ready to welcome them too.

Really proud day for Kilshanvey Utd as two of our ladies were involved in today's Shield Final.

Tori Morrin played for Galway as they beat Shelbourne 2-1 to win and Riona Fallon was officiating as lines person. Well done both!!

Best of Luck to Tori Morrin as she lines out in the Shield Final tomorrow against Shelbourne. Seen here in today's 2-1 win over Sligo Rovers.

Very proud of our own Laura Adair representing Galway United!

Our branch members Marc Lynch, Dennis Lydon and John Conway were in action of the clash yesterday between Galway United and Wexford in the LOI WDL in Athenry ⚽️
